Earlier he was yelling at Alex for not hitting with men on base and then later he came back with the comments you posted above. Alex finally gets a hit, but there were no men on base..particularly in scoring position. He likes to mock Alex.The players show great reserve for seemingly to be able to pretty much block this guy out. It was cool to see Alex smile about it though.
June 26, 200521 yr i remember the rays played the yanks and the only person he really heckled was raul mondesi and it was far worse than what he was doing to alex. At least he is a semi good heckler some are just downright pathetic with their lame cutdowns and terrible name jokes.

June 26, 200521 yr Hmmm. I think his name is Robert Szasz "The Gentleman Heckler" He is a Devil Ray super fan. He goes to every single home game. The local news media did a piece on him last year, while the Pirates were in town. During that series he was heckling Jason Kendall. His strategy, so he says, is to pick one player before a series, do his research and homework, and nag him during the whole series. During our series, it appears he has chosen Sea Bass.

June 26, 200521 yr I remember him doing it to Johnny Damon last year! It was hilarious, he game to the park in a wig-beard all in one combo and sat there shouting at Damon every at bat. Kept repeating the phase "Whatcha gonna do JOHNNY?"

June 26, 200521 yr there are some good hecklers at DS. I remember there was a guy who would always pick on JD Drew the whole game in the outfield every time Atlanta came to town. "JD? JD stands for Jelly Doughnut Jelly Doughnut Jelly Doughnut Jelly Doughnut" Then like 100 people would pick it up and start screaming Jelly Doughtnut. But I don't think we have anyone who is a regular like this guy in Tampa.
