July 29, 200521 yr On ProSports Daily, I found an interesting article. Apparently, the A's want to create a new Big Three by attempting to acquire Burnett from Florida. The link is below. This could be an interesting trade between Billy Beane and Admin beinfest, two very creative, methodical GM's. Now, the question is who the Marlins would gain in return. Some friends of mine would love to see Mark Kotsay back in a Marlins uniform and to see young lefty Joe Kennedy join our staff. One player I would love to add is young right-handed starter Dan Haren. In addition, if we would be able to package Lowell in the deal, I would love to see Kotsay back in our outfield as another solid contact hitter for our team. Did you know he is only 29? Plus, the Athletics just signed him to a three-year extension which if acquired, would lessen our need to resign Encarnacion in the offseason or would allow us to move Pierre. What do you think? July 29, 200521 yr Why would the A's want Mike Lowell? Another question is why they would trade Haren? This isn't going to happen. AJ is not going to resign with a West Coast team. Plus, Billy Beane knows better than to give a pitcher like AJ a 4/40 contract.

After a month of participating in workouts and games with the big league club, he was sent to their minor league camp for the remainder of spring training and was later assigned to their AAA affiliate in Sacramento, California of the Pacific Coast League. __________________________________________________________ Meet Shawn Garrett Shawn is a 1997 graduate of South Central High School and is the only Cougar player ever selected to play at the professional level. July 29, 200521 yr Haren and Blanton are nice. Streets is nice too. But, no way we are getting him. Remember they want to move lowell, Get a Good solid young pitcher, A good prospect and a middle relief. Dont they have the rincon guy that is a pretty good lefty?
July 29, 200521 yr Juan Rincon is the only Rincon I know of, a RHP from the Twins...but I might be wrong.
July 29, 200521 yr The other Rincon is a leftthanded reliever and has been playing in the majors for close to a decade, originally with the Pirates I think.
