None of Willis, Cabrera, Beckett, etc had seen major league playoffs before and I'd like to hear someone's argument saying they played like scared, inexperienced youngins. None? Yeah, post-season experience is overrated mightily.

August 22, 200520 yr I'm just glad Olsen didn't try to play through the injury, and that they are taking it slow with his rehab. Now, my hope is he will be ready to go opening day 2006.
August 22, 200520 yr Moehler has slowed down but i dont thinkhes weak enough a spot in the rotation that he should be skipped. Trying out valdez might not be a bad idea considering we have 6 starters on our team. W/e helps the team, but i think moehler cna still turn it around and keep us in the games he starts

August 23, 200520 yr I for one am going to enjoy this ride and see how far these four guys can take this team. Beckett and Burnett have shown great improvements this year, Dontrelle continues to mature into a big game pitcher (like he isn't already) and Vargas is showing why he is the future of this starting rotation today. I don't know how the offense will hold up for the rest of the season, but I don't think they have to worry about their big four keeping them in games during this September run. :thumbup
August 23, 200520 yr Beckett proved himself in the playoffs, and I have no doubt Burnett would dominate because he really steps up when pressure is on. Dontrelle does worry me, despite the fact that he has been our best pitcher, he has a tendency to get way way off at times. No guarantees with Vargas either, but he hasn't had any trouble so far in the majors.
