Community Service..

Featured Replies

I need community service hours..i think it's 75 to go to college, does anyone know where i can do this, like a place that is available in miami?

i did mine at palmetto hospital.

Im a guidance counselor and we just talked to all the 11th graders about this today. You can get community service by donating hours at a NON-PROFIT organization-hospitals, religious institutions, schools, parks, libraries, county programs. You can't work at your uncle's store for free and consider it community service.

If you need help finding a place, you can go to http://www.networkforgood.org/volunteer/, type in your zip code and check "teens welcome".

Thanks alot..this is actually very helpful..thanks times a million! :)

I suggest the library. Easy, relatively quiet, lots of MILFs.

I did them at the Zoo.

Its 75 Hours for Bright Futures(FAS) 100% scholarship.

There is no community service requirement for the 75%(FMS).

You can check out www.volunteermatch.com. Opportunities to volunteer can also be found at churches, shelters, and soup kitchens. Given the recent events, your time might also be appreciated at the local Red Cross office.

I volunteered for a local Greyhound Adoption. All I had to do was hold the dogs and just walk them around :)

Pretty much everywhere you go you could get service hours for.. You just have to ask.

they actually force public high school kids to do community service now?

wow.

They give you a 100% tution scholarship to a state school or the equivalent for a private school in-state. Play the Florida Lottery!

nothing like incentives for forced labor that nobody wants to do really.

one of the things that i have always hated is forced service, but oh well, i guess they think its useful or something.

I tutor stoopid children in mathematics at afterschool tutoring sponsored by Mu Alpha Theta. I decided to stop tutoring the evil middle schoolers after I caught some kinda virus from one of the many deseased middle schoolers and had to miss *gasp* 2 days of school!

Damn deseased middle schoolers.

go to a library its really easy all you do it put back books!! and half the time i just sat in the corner :lol

:o

We had to do 15 hours of community service to get a diploma, but that's all we got. (I did about 6 and made up the rest :mischief )

75 hours of community service and your tuition is paid for, amazing.

I could have helped a coach little league baseball and got my school paid for. *dies*

Damn yee, Ohio! *shakes fist*

Damn yee, Ohio! *shakes fist*Well, you have to have the GPA and the SAT as well. And something tells me that SAT scores might be lacking.

Basic 100% Bright Futures Info:

High School GPA: 3.5

SAT: 1270

Community Service: 75 Hours

Must keep a 3.0 GPA in College

You can do 75 hours in a couple months if you schedule everything right. It didn't really bother me and the ends justified the means so it's tight.

Maybe for you. I was busy skipping 38 days of school and going to parades, doing some acting, hitting the local places, playing soccer and trying to get some on my way to college.
