August 26, 200322 yr BUT YOU STILL HAVE PRIDE AND RESPECT! I guess I'm in the minority, but I'm a guy, and pride is a big thing. Losing in the World Series as opposed to getting blown out is like saying you would rather be the worst team in baseball as opposed to losing the World Series.

As a player in the game, the worst type of loss you can suffer is when you come back from down alot in a big time game to come up just short. Coming back and giving up the lead again would be the same as a blown lead, worse on the fans really then on the players. For me the worse type of loss as a player is when you score 6 runs in the bottom of the ninth but needed 7. And to the ongoing arguement on whats worse, a big loss or a small loss, take the NCAA Tournament in 2002 into consideration. Miami lost to Mizzou in the first round by what seemed like a bazillion. But the Gators lost to Creighton on a last second, OT buzzer beating three. Which team would you rather be? (And yes, I was watching the Gaytors game in the school wrestling room with some friends and we all jumped and hugged and did a dogpile when Creighton dropped the three to beat the Gaytors Poor Gaytors fans.)

We have more national titles in football then you do in your whole athletic department combined, and in baseball we are almost as dominant if not just as dominant. Teams like Arizona State, USC and Texas have been just as good as Miami, too.

Even if they havent been the most dominant, they have always been near or at the top since the early 80s. Gator baseball? I wonder who keeps eliminating them from the postseason.....
