December 7, 200520 yr All you people with good WR and QB situations shut it! LOL. The Phins fans are phishing for any help they can get
December 7, 200520 yr Author chambers is a solid number 2. He can make a great catch but drops too many easy ones. I rather get Wayne personally but shall see. Clement and Peterson are my FA wish list personally.
December 7, 200520 yr I will say this, if the Dolphins do go after T.O., I hope they're serious players for Brees or Rivers, we can't have a draft pick sit on the bench for a season waiting to get going, we need someone to step in who can throw the ball.
December 7, 200520 yr excellent point Swifty. no sense upgrading the WR if he wont get the ball. QB def has to be a priority and that means not settling for a AJ Feely or Cleo Lemon
December 7, 200520 yr Considering the QB with the highest rating since Chambers has been in the NFL has lit up with a 70s, I'd say that Chambers hasn't really had the opportunity to show whether he's a top 5/10/15/20/25 WR yet, however, discrediting him is completely ridiculous. The guy puts up solid yards per catch numbers and gets his fair share of TDs. Sure, he's had great QBs as Jay Feidler, Sage Rosenfels, Ray Lucas, and Gus Frerotte throwing to him, but maybe, just maybe a decent/starter-quality QB would give him a chance to prove what he does or doesn't have, whether that be Phillip Rivers, Jon Kitna, Jay Cutler, or whoever. Anyway, to the issue at hand, it's almost a guarantee that TO will at some point be a lockerroom cancer wherever he winds up. I'd still like to see him play for the Fins given he signs a contract that's no longer than two years and there's something in writing about his team conduct and some sort of gag order placed on him talking to the media. Part of me thinks that if Saban can turn Ricky into someone that cares about football, then I think that Saban could possibly mellow out TO, if only temporary. I'd be open to it, as not only would it put butts in the seats, it'd give us more exposure, make us a better team (in the short run), and generate a whole buttload of revenue thanks to the 150,000,000 "gangstas" that like TO and would buy his jersey regardless of where he winds up.
December 7, 200520 yr Just a thought, why would a guy looking for a ring go to a place like Miami next year? I think Kansas City is a more likely destination
December 7, 200520 yr Miami will have a ton of cap space next season, they can re-build through FA's. Great running game. In this day in age in the NFL teams can go from 4-12 one season to 12-4 with in 2 seasons. Fritz put the Chambers' debate to rest. Dont compare the Bengals WR's to the Dolphins WR's when you have the 2nd best QB in the NFL.
December 7, 200520 yr Just a thought, why would a guy looking for a ring go to a place like Miami next year? I think Kansas City is a more likely destination Because we all know the Fins aren't improving and in the NFL teams never go from bad to good over the course of a season. Kind of like how the awesome 6-10 Steelers of 2003 went 15-1 the next season.

Dont compare the Bengals WR's to the Dolphins WR's when you have the 2nd best QB in the NFL. You can reasonably compare the Cardinals WR's to the Dolphins WR's, and both Boldin and Fitzgerald are putting up numbers that dwarf those put up by any Dolphin WR's, including Chambers. Warner/McCown is better than Frerotte/Sage/Cleo, but not as much as the discrepancy between the top 2 Cardinals WR's and the top 2 Dolphins WR's. The 'Fins better running game might help explain some of the numbers, but Linehan still throws the ball a ton, with the Cardinals having 70 more attempts than the Dolphins.

Warner is a two-time MVP and has been to the Superbowl twice. Gus Frerotte is most famous for breaking his neck by headbutting a wall. There is no comparison. Also, Chambers is a late 2nd round draft pick that has played in a run first, run second, run third offense for every year of his career (save this year), whereas Admin Fitz was a top 3 pick and Boldin would've been a 1st rounder had he not blown out his knee in 2002. There's no sense comparing the WRs to Chambers until he has a decent QB, which he's never really had.
December 7, 200520 yr Just a thought, why would a guy looking for a ring go to a place like Miami next year? I think Kansas City is a more likely destination you do not know what offseason moves will take place. the Fins have alot of cap room to play with and could be instant contenders next season. at this point i dont think TO has the choice to be picky

Warner is a shell of his former self - just because he was a 2 time MVP doesn't mean he's still good (see Rice, Jerry or Favre, Brett), but whatever, he's better than Frerotte, though I still don't think the mediocre QB argument that gives Chambers an excuse for his career numbers so far if he's a legit top 20 WR. Just to play devil's advocate once more (because I do largely agree with the point that Chambers hasn't had a decent QB) - Marty Booker had 2 1000+ yard season, one with Jim Miller (!!) as his QB, so it's possible to put up good numbers with Frerotte-like QB's.

December 7, 200520 yr Just a thought, why would a guy looking for a ring go to a place like Miami next year? I think Kansas City is a more likely destination 1. What have you ever heard to make you say KC is more likely? 2. Miami is very possible because his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, is based out of Miami. Do not be shocked if Drew tries to pull him towards Miami to be able to "control" first hand, or "watch over" TOs actions so he does not make as big of fool out of himself in the future. That is a huge reason why TO and Miami could be a match, as of now.
December 7, 200520 yr There's no guarantee that T.O. is going to keep Drew as his agent, especially after all the s*** he's put him through this year
December 7, 200520 yr There's no guarantee that T.O. is going to keep Drew as his agent, especially after all the s*** he's put him through this year That's why I wrote, "as of now" at the end of my second statement. And btw, it is fair to say TO put himself through alot of sh*t.
December 7, 200520 yr If Miami gets their hands on a solid QB, we are instant contenders. The only other holes are one cornerback, strong safety (although I don't remember which Howard plays...), and Center. Everything else is set. good readings at TO coming to Miami, that would set yall back that much longer. also chambers is not a top 20 wideout in this league. he might be top 40, might be. wake me when he does something significant in the NFL though for an entire season. Wow, that's just pure hate.
December 7, 200520 yr Chambers might be top 40. I wonder if Mr. Rable can even name 40 wide receivers.
December 7, 200520 yr We shouldn't be killing our salary cap with a risk like TO. Priority should be getting free agents on the offensive line and a good draft.
December 8, 200520 yr I'm down, personally. If you don't treat him like he's any other normal teammate he should be controllable.
December 8, 200520 yr I'm down, personally. If you don't treat him like he's any other normal teammate he should be controllable. Are you suggesting give the baby his bottle? You mean give him the long term deal, or what, here? Or are you saying seperate this guy from the rest of the team and treat him like a primadonna? Because he's been treated like a star elsewhere. The thing is this... At this point, that guy is so dumb, and the media LOVES the TO story so much, that he's almost destined to fail. He's not smart enough to keep his mouth shut and a lot of writers and analysts have it in for this guy whether they pretend to like him in uniform or not.

He's not smart enough to keep his mouth shut and a lot of writers and analysts have it in for this guy whether they pretend to like him in uniform or not. I don't know about you, but TO at his press conference seemed very sincere in his apologies. He had a look of acceptance on his face, like he realized what he did was wrong. Rosenhaus probably makes him think he's the ruler of the world the way he rides his d*ck. TO had issues in Philly b/c they already had a star on their team, and it took away from TO's 'glory'. I think it's safe to say that on offense, TO would be the 'man' for however long he is here. Chambers would easily defer, and any quarterback we get would be young, so having a great receiver like TO would only help development. My thoughts.
December 8, 200520 yr I don't buy it. So, you're saying you believed he was sincere? Well, YEAH. He was more than sincere because his job with Philly was over by then. He was being so sincere because he was groveling to get it back. Well, if how he treated Jeff Garcia is any indication, than good luck to you guys. I'm done talking about this trash now anyways.
