December 31, 200520 yr mets and d-rays make out nasty good in the made up deal. Bingo. Also, another reason ths trade makes no sense is that when it comesdown to it Boston would have pretty much traded Edgar along with 11 million for Gathright. Laughable.

Seems to me the only way Tejada or Manny are going to move is if its a 1 for 1 swap.. but I doubt that will happen. Manny will be on the Red Sox on opening day.. and when the trade deadline comes around, he'll want to be traded again.. and then he'll end up still being on the team after the deadline. Then we'll go through all of this again next year.. while Manny continues to put up .310/45/140

The New York Post says the Mets and Red Sox still haven't spoken since the winter meetings.
