April 15, 200619 yr becuz their dumb lol, and another comes tuesday. but it does knock them out of the way early in the season so we dont have to deal with as much later on. i was going to go to the game today but i had some car troubles, need to get a tuneup next week. especially wanted to go because i kno the game wouldnt be televised. but i will deff be listening to the radio today and rooting for them in the Game Thread
April 15, 200619 yr I really don't need to hear anyone complain about 2 radio days in a row. I've had 9 radio days in a row this season. I have yet to watch the games live, and I don't even know what half of our team looks like.
April 15, 200619 yr back to back games......come on..why do we have to have radio-only games anyway? they suk
April 15, 200619 yr Author back to back games......come on..why do we have to have radio-only games anyway? they suk The max a team can be locally-televised to start the season is 150 games. Some teams like the Cardinals, Braves, and Phillies skirt this with add-on games or national telecasts to reach a count of 162 games televised for the season, but teams aren't supposed to contract more than 150 games a season. Plus, having one crew do 162 televised games is hard. Radio isn't as hard technically and requires about 4-5 people...but TV can go up to 10-15 people. The Marlins have the 150 on FSN/SUN, then 1 on ESPN, and 3 on FOX. So they have at least 154 on TV. That means that 8 games are not on TV. Friday, May 19 has the Marlins playing the Devil Rays....that game will be on FSN Florida, but via the Rays TV Package....so in reality the Marlins have only 7 radio-only games this year. Tonight FSN Florida will air UM vs. FSU...so both the Marlins and Rays are radio-only. On Easter Sunday, Sun Sports will have the finale of the UM vs. FSU series while FSN has the Rays...so the Marlins are radio-only. Those outside of Florida should get the game via MASN (Nationals TV) on MLB Extra Innings and MLB.tv.

Dude honestly, from the amount of bitching you do about not being able to see Fish games, it has finally gotten to me and I sincerely feel bad for you. Why don't you buy MLB.tv or check and see if you can get the MLB ticket? As big of a fan as you are it must be worth the extra cash.

He's in Tallahassee, so he would need to get a Dish or DirecTV, but his current situation housing-wise doesn't allow it. Since Comcast up there won't add FSN, MLB.tv/MLBEI are useless because the Marlins are blacked out.

I bought Gameday audio (15 bucks) and mlb.tv (25 I think) just for the first month of the season....and trust me, I don't have the money to spend. That's how big of a fan I am. I literally sit at my computer for 3 hours and listen to QAM without any graphics. And I spent that money on mlb.tv just for archives. I cannot WAIT until next Tuesday. I will be home and finally get to watch these guys play.
