The NBA has suspended Heat power forward Udonis Haslem for Monday night's playoff game against the Bulls for his toss of his mouthpiece at referee Joe Crawford during Saturday's Game 1 of the best-of-seven opening-round playoff series.

Haslem was ejected in the second quarter of that game and was not informed of his suspension until after Monday's shootaround at AmericanAirlines Arena.

FULL STORY

Good.

He showed total disrespect towards Crawford with that.

Kudos to Mr. Crawford for not even hesitating and booting him like he did.

If the Bulls can somehow get Shaq in foul trouble, they could steal it.

Haslem is the only other defensive inside presence on the team.

Good, let him rest. He will need his energy for the next round.

I'd bring Zo back for game 4 to let him get his legs loose and I would even consider sitting Wade tonight and letting him heal up.

I feel like the Bulls hit us with their best punch last game and still couldn't win. They are too young and weak down low. I don't see this series being much of a challenge. I hope the Pacers beat the Nets, we match up with them much better.

You think Miami can win without Haslem and Wade??

I dunno man, if J Will and Walker don't step up, that would leave SHaq as the only legit scorer.

I think they still CAN win without them, but it def. makes the odds of it happening a lot worse.

However with that said, I think even if both were to be out and we give this game away, it won't matter for the course of the series. I can't see the Bulls beating us 4 of the next 6 games.

So Antoine will be starting at PF with Wayne backing him up?

I would rather have Antoine starting at SF and Simien starting at PF. I think Simien could more than hold his own against the Bulls forwards.

We need to win tonight before we let people rest up. Realistically if we get up 3-0 we could rest wade or shaq if they arent 100 percent

Yes, exactly. Let him rest after we've taken care of business. You don't want to give the underdog hope.

While Artest's suspension was unjust, this was was very deserved. You don't throw things at a referee, I don't care who you are.

CBS Sportsline is predicting our starting lineup will be Jason Williams, Dwyane Wade, Jason Kapono, Antoine Walker, Shaq... :confused we shall see.

I must not have been paying attention, but has Simien been a disappointment so far?

No, not really at all.

As is the usual case for a Riley rookie on a contending team, he did not see many minutes. However, when he did, he showed that he can be a solid player in the league and that he belonged.

He flashed a more than decent jumper for a big man and an ability to use his good size and bang down low. He shot a more than respectable 48.3% from the field and 88.2% from the stripe. Per 48 minutes he would be averaging 17 and 10.

While he has not been spectacular, I would say he has been far from a disappointment.
