Hanley respect?

Featured Replies

Gotta love the fantasy baseball. Fantasy sports are a driving force behind many many fans. Also for them learning about different players of baseball besides their traditional teams. Which is why I am a huge supporter of them :)

Here is from the yahoo top 50. I love the post made about hanley.

Funston ? I hate you and your bad haircut more than you hate the Marlins, but for the love of baseball give Hanley Ramirez some credit. He's been the best shortstop in the NL for the past six weeks with no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Can't make the board, can't make the bubble, but thank god you're paying attention to Aramis Ramirez and his pathetic 2006. ? Chris, CT

:thumbup .

I was thinking... since Hanley came from Boston. Maybe they will vote for him (All-Star game). You know they vote like crazy up there.

It's scary to think about really, but as it stands right now 3/4 of the Marlins infield should at the very least be given strong consideration for the All-Star game.

All this just months after breaking up a Marlins infield that was our strength over the years!

:o

him and uggla should get some consideration. There isnt many premier 2B in the National League

the sad thing is since the fan's vote , they'll vote for the players on their team, even if they're not the best player available. hanley might get consideration because the boston fans will remember him, and they won't really care who's going in in the NL anyway.

That Soriano guy's pretty good...

hmmm...living in massachusetts i can pretty much tell you for a fact that the red sox fans dont believe there is a national league...most of my friends are like, pitchers hit? but why?

Chase Utley is the best 2B in all of baseball. Uggla deserves a back up role though.

Hanley is such a beast. No SS in the NL can compare to his stats.

Right now Hanley hasthe best stats will he keep it up? We will see. Right now Bradon Phillips deserves the ASG more then Uggla. Will Phillips keep it up? We will see.

I'll take Felipe Lopez over Hanley btw.

Uggla-.310, 8 2B, 1 3B, 6 HR, 22 RBI, 14 BB, 28 K, .368 OBP, .474 SLG%, .842 OPS

Phillips-.308, 7 2B, 1 3B, 4 HR, 31 RBI, 7 BB, 16 K, .340 OBP, .469 SLG%, .809 OPS

3 SB

9 SB

Hanley is really good, Felipe is really good. Uggla and Phillips are both good. Having an argument about who is better would be stupid and a waste of time.

No arguement. Just posting both's stats. Notice that's all I did with nothing else following them.

I wasn't really referring to you, but you can tell which way this thread was going (and it is my fault it was going this way).

Ah, dont worry about it. A tad early to be talking about ASG anyway.

#'s will change, slumps and hot streaks will both happen. Pure #'s dont mean anything anyway, as the ASG voting by fans usually=players being there that dont deserve it anyway.

:whistle

Couldn't agree more. But there will always be the Cardinals fan that thinks he belongs there and is an elite SS.

They always argue with me about him being the top defensive SS in the NLC, if not the entire NL.

But, forget Eckstein.

Uggla, Jacobs, Lopez, and HanRam all deserve to get there as of right now, in some capacity. Will they? Maybe not. Most fans wont pick a Marlin player just because they are a Marlin player. Which saddens me.

That Soriano guy's pretty good...

Soriano is not even the best 2nd baseman on his team...thats why he is playing in LF!...Vidro is the best 2nd baseman in the NL...Hanley's only competition for the all-star is our beloved Edgar Renteria and ofcourse felipe Lopez but as of this moment he is outperforming Lopez
