Mine was 3.0

It was so exciting to see your mail box open up, or chat with someone across the country. It was such an exciting era. Those were the days.

I had AOL once. For a collective total of 1 minute and 57 seconds before I decided that it was absolute crap and went with a real ISP.

Ya, I had alot of problems with aol in the old days. But I have not had any problems for the last 4 or 5 years. I think they modernised their systems.

The versions I don't have are my favorite.

When I first connected to the internet in 1996, one of the choices that came with my computer (an AST R.I.P.) was CompuServe, but you had to pay by the minute, that was no good. I cant belive CompuServe is still around.

Ew

Prodigy was my first internet service. Good times back in the day of being able to use the internet for maybe 5 minutes a day.

Of course I didnt really give a damn about the Internet until 1998 anyway when I first 'discovered' the Internet one evening and just started exploring things all over the place.

Me too, the first time I got on the internet I was on cloud 9. It was like I entered a magical kingdom, I was on the internet all night going from website to website.

i remember when i still used AOL, i think when 8.0 was out, i still used 5.0 for those chat room programs

Took me a year and a 1/2 back in the day to convince my parents to trash AOL and get high speed...

They didnt know sh*t about comps, got my wish, trashed AOL.. parents love high speed!

AOL SUCKS!

THE ONE THAT I BURN, Blow up, Destroy, Melt down, Break into little itty bitty pieces and then put to a flame thrower.

It must die, it is evil! Evil I tell you!

What was it that you 'discovered' on the Internet?

Oh, wait a second, I'll tell you what you discovered:

I use it for email and IMing sometimes. Thats it. I use Firefox for browsing. AOL serves its purpose...

GMail and the separate AOL Instant Messenger program/Gaim/Adium/iChat do the same thing.

GMail and the separate AOL Instant Messenger program/Gaim/Adium/iChat do the same thing. Yeah but we've had AOL for a long time so its not really worth it to get off.

For whatever reason I can only use 7.0 on this computer. Installing anything higher than that causes it to crash. No idea why.
