DTrizzle
LC, you are missing something... You need a pinch-hitting GOOD DEFENSIVE outfielder...I don't think Harris is that great defensively... I would add Holly into the mix.. Gerald Williams isn't eligible for playoffs...and Holly has had more time and is probably better defensively anyways than Banker. I would definitely want Castro, but knowing McKeon he's going to take Red over Castro considering it really doesn't make sense taking your back-up back-up over your back-up even though Castro deserves it. flasportsfan88
the definate bench players are Redmond, Holly, Mordacai, Conine, Harris The rest can be either banks, castro, fox,

McMillan Marlins
ya but if fox is there taht means one of the guys that did better this yr will not be on it. fox sux the worse this yr.
#1 FishFan
Well,Conine is an experienced veteran who does have play-off experience. Conine has also snaped out of that cold streak he had when he first returned to us (Seeing the ball better, being patient, making contact.)I wouldn't feel comfortable with a rookie starting in the Playoffs. It could come down to who is hotter in the end between Conine and Cabs. Anyway, when we get to the World Series Cabs (or Conine.) will be a DH. So neither will be on the bench during AL games. Ramp
the only definite bench player is Conine/Cabs.... no one else is a definite... myabe Castro too
flasportsfan88
the only definate is redmond, because mckeon loves him, why in the owrld would castro be definate?????

flasportsfan88
mckeon hasnt played him all year why play him in the playoffs?
KJC
quick not for those not informed, MOST teams bring 10 or 11 pitchers to the playoffs because of the shorter series and more off days. so 14-15 position players will be on the roster. flasportsfan88
true, and cuz the 4th or 5th starter goes in the pen anyway
KJC
this team will most likely go with a 4 man rotation because of the youth and the high inning totals. no matter what Beckett, Penny, D-Train, Red, Pavz, Loop, U, Bump, and Tejera will be on the staff so that leaves 1-2 more spots... flasportsfan88
If we make the playoffs I think the rotation should be Beckett, penny, willis, but im not sure who will be next in the rotation at that time, cuz if we clinch early i think well hold back willis and start helling
McMillan Marlins
I rather starte redman than penny, because penny would be better in the pen. penny would be throwing gas in the pen and redman is more consitent as starter this yr. McMillan Marlins
oh but then too many lefties. I dunno. beckett, willis, penny probably in that order because its R,L,R and willis throw a little slower so hitter triming will be off more. Guest Juanky
Well, I think Pavano is going to the pen for sure. BUT Willis might not be a bad idea from the pen if they don't put him in the starting rotation. Don't get me wrong, he would be great and perfect in the starting rotation. But, from the pen, the hitters will have to look at his rotation for the first time after a normal windup for 5-6 innings. Tell me that wouldn't be deadly. McMillan Marlins
it sound good jaunky but willis never does good in the first ining and that would probly happen if he just went in for 1 ining.
