posted early so I can go to work! I'll be back around 11:30pm-ish!

Just one win in PETCO Park would give the Marlins their second winning road trip this year (the Marlins swept the Nationals on a brief, two-game trip to Washington).

Florida is 4-2 since leaving home, with a sweep in Colorado and one win in three games in San Francisco.

The Padres, who took two of three in Dolphin Stadium in the second week of the season, are the only team in the Majors above .500 despite having a losing record at home (15-16).

Of course, one win out of three games in San Diego is no sure thing, as the Marlins were swept there last year.

Pitching matchup

FLA: RHP Ricky Nolasco (4-2, 3.15)

Nolasco is coming off his best start this year, working eight shutout innings with seven strikeouts and one walk in a win over Colorado.

SD: RHP Chris Young (5-3, 3.39 ERA)

Young is in a groove right now. The righty carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning two starts ago, and another into the sixth in his last outing.

Player to watch

Hanley Ramirez is hitting .417 (5-for-12) against the Padres, and is the only Marlin with a hit off Chris Young.

GO FISH! BEAT THE FATHERS!

Go Marlins.

Late Game/Radio Only. Not a good combo for me.

It's time for Cabrera and Ramirez to get back on track. I hope the day off pays dividends because they didn't play up to their ability throughout the series with the Giants. I can't say that I am looking forward to going up against one of the hottest pitchers in baseball. Chris Young has allowed three hits while striking out 12 over his last 16 innings. It seems that Josh Johnson can't catch a break.

GO FISH!!!!!

I'll be watching it, Padres channel has the game.....

Well, TV or no TV I'd miss it anyways. I'm going on a long road trip (like the Marlins, LOL) tomorrow, can't stay up.

Actually, good call, but it's not a blackout. I just checked my MLB Extra Innings (up here in Baltimore) and I don't get the game either. It's not blacked out...MLB Extra Innings just refuses to air it. This could be a rights issue. Most of the time when the Marlins are playing they usually use FSN Florida for their broadcast feed. Overall, Extra Innings tends to prefer Fox Sports Net. I'm guessing since the game isn't being televised by any Florida Marlins affiliates they chose not to air it.

However, even if the game were aired on MLB Extra Innings through some PADRES affiliate (whatever they use), people in South Florida would not be able to watch the game on satellite/digital cable whatever because it would be blacked out due local restrictions. I can never watch an Orioles or Nationals game on MLB Extra Innings period.

If you live in South Florida there is no way to watch this game unless you found a MLB TV loophole around the blackout.

Thanks for the insight. Im sure you know the frustration I feel being a fellow MLB Extra Innings subscriber.

The killer is that if the game is being shown on Fox Sports Net (Fox Sports West for example) its pretty retarded that the game is not available to Extra Innings subscribers.

Its also annoying that my cable company did not advise me of the several Marlins games I will be unable to watch throughout the year when I purchased the package.

Also, did you notice at the very beginning of the season that many baseball games were NOT shown and instead Hockey games were being aired. I called my cable company on that one and they seemed bewildered at why I would be frustrated that my baseball package was airing hockey!!

All Marlins games on blacked out on the stream due to MLB Radio. Glad I got my MLB Radio pass for tonight but this no TV sucks balls. Oh yeah the late start time sucks too I'm so exausted from work.

Holy K-Noly :mischief .

Ok Lets Do this :thumbup

Only telecast tonight is Cox San Diego/Channel 4 Padres. They are cable-only and not on any satellite...so MLB Extra Innings cannot air the game. MLB.tv may be able to mooch of the Cox feed.

FSN Florida/Sun Sports is taking tonight off, so WQAM/Marlins Radio Network is the only source for tonight's game.

Local note for my area: WWCN-AM 770 will air tonight's Marlins game from San Diego. They say they will air Marlins On Deck starting at 9:30 and the game at 10.

Okay, gotcha.

Can anyone give me a link to where I can listen live to tonights game. Considering I just ordered MLB Extra Innings an hour ago, I am very disappointed that tonight's game will not be aired.
