June 19, 200620 yr http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/stats/index.jsp JJ is now officialy the ERA King of the majors right now!
June 19, 200620 yr Author I went to MLB .com today where they randomly show the leader of certain stats, it had pujols RBI lead and then I like crapped my pants when I saw JJ's pic!
June 19, 200620 yr He actually held the title for 1 game, I think it was between the Marlins 61-62 game, a week or so ago, but he's probably over the eligibility requirements for good at this point. Good for Johnson. He is twice as good as what I expected. Literally.

Good for Johnson. He is twice as good as what I expected. Literally. He's not over them quite yet. By his next start he will be the unofficial leader again
June 19, 200620 yr Author What exactly is the method for calculating eligability requirements? I think it invovles an amount of GS's and IP. He is only about 4 or 5 starts from what the averge # one starter would have by now and that he has a lot of numbers under his record, 6-4 at this point is pretty rare for a record of a releiver so then thats where the # of GS's probably come in or something.
June 19, 200620 yr A certain amount of innings pitch per teams games played. I think its 1.1 x total games team played = min IP requirement
June 19, 200620 yr Author Love the Josh Johnson Ace card. Good stuff. Thanks, I am not usually good at creating graphics but I remember seeing and Ace card in my room, then thinking of the ace like stuff he ahs been putting up, then I came up with that idea
June 19, 200620 yr Im not saying we should but just IMAGEN what we could get for him,Hes been the Ace and will continue to great job by JJ :thumbup
June 19, 200620 yr If he keeps pitching this way it would be very hard for any manager not to name him to the all-star game :thumbup

June 19, 200620 yr JJ is the hottest pitcher in baseball right now. His ERA as a starter is under 1.00 i believe
June 19, 200620 yr JJ is the hottest pitcher in baseball right now. His ERA as a starter is under 1.00 i believe JJ's ERA as a starter is 1.63.(10 ER/55.1 IP). I'm pretty sure the formula, for ERA qualification, is the innings pitched have to equal the number of games played by your team. JJ has pitched 67 innings, Marlins have played 66 games. You'll see his picture a couple more days(2 games). So, he needs to throw more than 5-6 innings(of low ERA work), otherwise this will occur every 5(or so) days.
June 19, 200620 yr He is going to have to go 7 strong innings then. And do it quick before something happen to your ERA too.
