The great Craig Miniverni. Went up to him, told him I appreciated his awesome work for the Marlins and we talked a little about Miggy and I almost got a ball from a Hammer but he made a bad throw and threw it too shallow. He's still my homeboy.

Look, it's not everyday you get see Craig Miniverni.

Edit: Actually, I do see him everyday but the point is Craig's awesome. And the fake enthusiasm hurts me.

Umm...he does work the games, which occur at the stadium, so every day there's a home game, you see him.

Thats cool.

I've sat next to Craig many times in sec 43 (founders field).

Ive found him to be the opposite of his chirpy, happy go lucky, on camera persona.

He's usually very quiet and serious when he's not on the air. Im not saying he has been mean or anything but it was quite a shock the first time I sat right next to him because I had this vision of him being overly friendly from watching him at home on TV.

He was wearing that ridiculously large WS ring for a while but I dont think he wears it anymore.

I remember one time Admin, MaXx, and I caught him putting on his makeup for TV. He was laughing and trying to hide from us. :lol

:lol I remember that.

Oh and about meeting Craig, that's cool. He's a really nice guy from my experience.

Eh, I got that same exact feeling about him being the opposite. Whenever I would attempt to talk to him before Marlins On-Deck or something, he would all but ignore you as if you didn't exist. he could be right next to you and he won't acknowledge your presence.

In speaking of Uggla, I'm up here at Gainesville and this morning I saw some white girl wearing a dark red Uggla t-shirt jersey. I don't know why it was in that color.

Isn't his wife divorcing him because he's a "yeller" or something like that?

Some guy said the same thing last time I sat in Founders Field.

Could be just a rumor though.

Martha Sulgalski, Craig's ex-wife, is now an anchor at WESH-TV in Orlando.

Craig and Martha worked together at NBC6 for years and usually she anchored the WB39 News @ 10 which he did the sportscast for.

Martha Sulgalski and Craig Minervini had to set the record for most vowels in one marriage

i remember walking into the Club Level and immediately shaking his hand and talking to him, he seems like a cool guy

I could have sworn I read it in an article somewhere.

If you want Craig to interview you I know something you can try. :mischief

:lol :lol :lol

How did Craig find out that you slept in the train station to interview you? Did you see him walking by and tell him or something?

update... I found it:

SEEKING DIVORCE

WTVJ-NBC 6's Martha Sugalski and sportscaster husband Craig Minervini are in divorce court. She filed. Married in '93, they have two sons, 11 and 7, and a daughter, 4.

Sugalski, 35, also co-anchors the 10 p.m. news for WBZL-WB 39. Minervini, 41, works for Fox Sports Net.

In Broward Circuit Court documents, Sugalski claims Minervini is verbally abusive, ''hurls insults,'' and tries to antagonize her. She asked that he be ordered to ''immediately vacate'' their Weston home. Responds Minervini: ``There's a lot more to this story. I asked her to leave.''

Sugalski says she and Minervini have settled some of their differences since she filed those docs. Her lawyer, Jeffrey A. Weissman and Minervini's attorney, Terry Ellen Fixel, say in an e-mailed statement: 'All temporary issues and disputes have been amicably resolved, including, but not limited to, the parties' respective living arrangements.''

Case is before Circuit Judge Ronald Rothschild.

I sit in 43 too! Great seats. Many times I see Craig, but I can't really get to him or hes in the middle of something. I missed a great opportunity where he was standing right behind me for a whole inning. He seems very nice. When I was at YS, the rainout, I yelled to him gettin on the bus and he waved. Alfredo didn't :( but Craig did!

I hope to see him at Shea. If I go I'm going to make a sign: Hi Rich and Tommy GO FISH! and on the back: His name is DAN UGGLA! (of course ;) )

If you want Craig to interview you I know something you can try. :mischief

what? :w00t
