Did the marlins sell anymore tickets for Fri & Sat

Featured Replies

My favorite though was in last nights Cubs-Braves game there was a guy that would every once in a while say "f***ing bulls***" and they would never bleep him out or anything. It was awesome.

you know i thought i heard that, but i was at work and it was in the background on the tv. i was like what?? but i thought maybe i was hearing things lol.

I guess i wasnt going crazy after all , i was hearing " Lets go Marlins " , But i was like naw im just hearing stuff but i guess it was really that , and that guy that kept saying " Lets go Red Sox " cracked me up lmao !

thats whats great about sports, you hear all these words you normally wouldnt on free or family tv. i love it when an ump and a player or manager argue and you can hear perfectly the player is saying to the ump.

There was definetely a quite "Let's go Marlins" chant when we were batting a couple times. Kinda like the chant at the games at turner. Must of been a small outing of marlins fans that made the trip. That or our pitcher's parents where chanting.

i remember Quentin Mckracken i think it was when he was with colorado i think, or was it Milwuakee? well something happened, i think it was a strike call he didnt like and he just screamed at him "f*** you" and yelled someother things and automatically got ejected. i remember watching it on TV and i bursted out laughing. the fact that he didnt ever bother to argue and just curse at him was funny to me. i kept thinking they need to show games on a small delay in order to censor some stuff

Just because I was curious (its Weds 12:45 am) I went to the Marlins site to see what the best (pair of) tickets are available. Right now the best pair is section 412 row 23 which is more or less behind the bermuda triangle area in CF. I believe row 24 is in Broward (small joke).

Earlier, about 8pm they were selling section 417 row 6. There can't be much left.

I like some of the remarks made to the umps. One that I'll always remember: "One more eye and you'd be a Cyclops!"

dude thats hilarious

as for the lets go marlins chant, it might have been willis's 20+ family members from cali lol

We always complain about having our stadium invaded by other teams fans...did anyone see the Braves game? Half the crowd was Cubs.

The best available seats are now in the outfield section 412, row 29, which means they've sold six rows since last I checked at 1:00am.

Theres no question in my mind that by Friday PPS will be sold out. There's not going to be a seat to be had.

I've been watching them (being Ticketmaster online) selling tickets. It's 11am, Wednesday, they just opened up section 424 and in five minutes sold out ten, make that 11 rows. Wow!

By Friday, as loathe as I am to make predictions about anything up to and including the sun coming up in the east tomorrow morning, they are going to sell every freakin' ticket they can possibily sell. I don't know if its 50,000 or 60,000 or 70,000, if someone knows I'd be interested to know what the maximum number of seats are available for baseball, but whatever the number I'm confident they'll sell the place out.

And if/when they win Friday, Saturday will be as well. Can you imagine the walkup lines for game 4? It boogles the mind.

Go Fish!

67,800

WHOOO that sounds great. the place is going to be jumping

The Miami herald says as of last night, over 54,000 have been sold, and that number might be at 55,000 right now as of 1:26 est. I dont think there will be a 10,000 walk up crowd, but 5,000 is very possible

Marlins-Giants Game 4 set for 1 p.m. Saturday

Game 4 of the National League Division Series between the Marlins and San Francisco Giants has been scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Pro Player Stadium. The game will be televised by Channel 7 and either ESPN or ESPN2.

If a Game 5 is necessary, it will be at 4 or 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Pac Bell Park in San Francisco, according to a Marlins spokesman.

Friday's Game 3 at Pro Player Stadium will start at 4 p.m. and be televised by Channel 7 and ESPN2. Mark Redman (14-9, 3.59 ERA) will pitch for the Marlins against Kirk Rueter (10-5, 4.53 ERA).

More than 54,000 tickets have been purchased for Friday's Game 3, and more than 42,000 for Saturday's Game 4. Marlins officials expect sales for Saturday's game to pick up since Wednesday's Marlins 9-5 victory over the San Francisco Giants assured a Game 4 will be played.

The Marlins will start Dontrelle Willis (14-6, 3.30) in Game 4 against Giants rookie Jerome Williams (7-5, 3.30).

Pro Player Stadium can accommodate 67,000 for baseball, as it did for the 1997 World Series. The team will continue to sell until that capacity is reached. Mainly $9 Upper Deck tickets remain, but scattered single tickets are available in most price categories from $9 to $55.

Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster outlets or www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 954-835-8326 in Broward; 561-998-8326 in Palm Beach; or 305-350-5050 in Miami-Dade; at www.floridamarlins.com; at the Pro Player Stadium box office, which is open 8:30 a.m.-8 p.m. or by phone at 877-627-5467.

Best seat (actually the best pair, there are isolated singles here and there) available as of this writing (3pm) is sect 422, row 14, bring your Kleenex and an oxygen mask - about as deep as you can go in center field. Maybe I'm wrong but I think they're going to sell this baby out or thereabouts.
