August 29, 200620 yr I really think Hermida and Ross should be benched from now on. I think they should call up Aguila or Reed to play every day with Amezaga in CF and put Wes Helms in RF. Helms played OF a few times in Spring training. August 29, 200620 yr We're on a freakin 8 game winning streak. Relax! By the way look at Hermida's stats in the 8 hole.
August 29, 200620 yr Hermida's been hitting well recently. Agree on Ross. As long as we're in the race, Amezaga's platoon mate should be Borchard.

Amezaga/Aguila/Reed Ramirez Uggla Cabrera Willingham Helms Jacobs Olivo Nice idea, except for the fact that Eric Reed and Chris Aguila stink (in relative terms to major league baseball players)
August 29, 200620 yr You lost all credibility when you suggested Eric Reed is better than Hermida. :lol
August 29, 200620 yr if Helms could play RF, you know damn well he would have already been there by now
August 29, 200620 yr Joe Borchard has played some CF too, but for some reason Girardi won't stick him out there. 'Course he hasn't hit well enough to really force Joe's hand into giving him a lot of playing time, but I still wouldn't mind seeing him get a reasonable stretch of starts somewhere to see if he can get anything going.
August 29, 200620 yr Aguila? Cmon bro. Think about how much faith the Marlins have in him right now. We have serious outfield needs and he hasnt even been brought up. He's a nice guy and he tries hard, but his niche is AAA.
August 29, 200620 yr Granted, no real answers to the CF problem-just please, no Reggie and G-d forbid, Eric Reed. How many CF'ers who can't hit and get picked off when they pinch run do we need? It is so bad that I get excited when Cody or Borchard or even AA starts because I know Reggie won't be out there.
August 29, 200620 yr No Aguila and no Reed there batting .300 BUT in the MINOR leagues dont waste a roster spot on them

August 30, 200620 yr even if aguila or reed was called up and put into the lineup they wouldn't be batting LEADOFF?!?! we'd have a lineup like: ramirez daniel uggla cabs willy jacobs helms olivo aguila pitcher
