August 30, 200619 yr I hope we keep this guy around next year as well.. anyone who can play every position on the field minus catcher, play very good MI defense, hit for a decent BA/OBP with good speed and can give us a backup leadoff hitter is a valuable person to this team. Kind of like our version of Ryan Freel. I hope we keep him around for next year.
August 30, 200619 yr He's a good character guy. We all saw in 2003 how important it is to have a bench that is supportive of the players playing in the field. Plus Fredo always does something good in any game he gets into.

But then again, it seems like it pains you to ever compliment the guy. Right now, we need him starting everyday in CF right now (whatever keeps RA off the field)... unless of course we trade for a CF. But thats a whole new can of worms.

Fredo is a nice bench player, but when he was with us, Easley was one of the best backup infielders in the league. Fredo is merely average.

AA is a MUCH better pinch-hitter than easley was. AA has more speed. AA plays better MI defense. AA can play every position. Easley has better power and came up with some clutch hits. So to say 1/5 as valuable.. come on.
