smart money is on Chris Aguila and Eric Reed..

any other guesses?

Forgive my ignorance, but can any of these players brought up for September be used in the playoffs?

nope

Aguila and Reed can since they played earlier in the year though right?

No, I think you had to have been on the active roster on Friday unless you were on the DL.

what happened to trevor huchinson

He is recovering from TJ surgery... strength might not be full yet

I might be wrong but I believe if a player on the active roster before *SEPTEMBER* 1st is genuinely injured (as opposed to "oops, my back hurts...") he may be replaced for post season play by another player.

Think about it. You can't ask a team to go into October with less than 25 players and if someone is hurt they have to be able to fill their roster.

I was thinking about that problem. Specifically, can we replace Kensing with a callup if one proves himself in September?

No, Kensing was placed on the DL before September 1st.

BTW, there's a typo in my post above.

August 1st should be September 1st.

Since it's already been quoted people see the error in other people's posts.

See K-Rod, 2002 playoffs.

It happens.

Can MLB really differentiate between a legitimate injury and an "injury" that just happens to improve our roster?

You're correct but I think the injured player can only be replaced by a player that plays the same position.

By same position, you mean pitcher must be replaced by a pitcher and non-pitcher by a non-pitcher

Yes

Not necessarily who will be called up, but I'd like to see Edgar V Gonzalez (that would be Adrian's brother) and his .394 (not a typo) BA added to our bench. I'm thinking being 28, yes he's older, but it could work to the team's advantage over the month.

Others would be Jeff Fulchino and Chris Aguila, Miadich and Reed, but again I'm not saying any of these guys "should" or "will" be brought up but some guys I'd like to watch play.
