September 8, 200619 yr Anyone have pictures of the balls in Cooperstown used by Marlins pitchers during their no hitters? I've seen them in this forum before. LOL Swift beat me to it. We were just up there the end of June. Gotta make the pilgrimage to the Holy Land every now and then. Last time I was there was August '97 and it sure did change alot in that time frame. I just love that town.
April 28, 200818 yr Author I wanted to bring this thread back and see if anyone has a picture of Anibal's ball.
April 28, 200818 yr personally I dont like how they try to give the photos an "old mark in time" look. The image of the pitcher should resemble when it was taken. May I add though, Kevin Brown totally threw his on my birthday. Awsome!
April 28, 200818 yr I am heading up there this June. I will see what I can find. Across and down the street from the Hall is a little diner. Seats maybe 20-25 people. A few booths and some stools at the counter. Go there for lunch and order the cheeseburger. Bring an appetite. It's the size of a meatloaf. And not expensive. Couple doors down from that is where I got my "Hey Ump" t-shirt. Has alot of clean quotes to say to umps on the back. Like "Turn the plate over, the directions are on the back." I get compliments on that shirt every time I wear it to a game, and Cooperstown is the only place to buy it. Damn, I love that town. Have a great time.
April 28, 200818 yr I was in Cooperstown the weekend Reggie Jackson was inducted, I forget when that was off-hand but it was great. I need to find the pictures I took there, not many Marlins ones because they were a new franchise.
April 28, 200818 yr Man two world series and four no hitters. As little support as this team ha gotten from South Florida, some of it rightfully so, its amazing what they have accomplished in such little time. Some teams havent had a series win in forever, or even one no hitter. Sorry Met fans.
April 28, 200818 yr Went to Cooperstown in 05 as a Graduation gift, so my pictures would have been pretty similar. Must say the Marlins locker section they have was pretty nice.
April 28, 200818 yr I wanted to go in December but couldn't find a train that was heading there at grand central station.
April 28, 200818 yr I wanna see a no-hitter ball from the spit-ball era... all dirty and cut up and such... so I can laugh
April 29, 200818 yr Anibal's isn't in yet? When we went in 2001 it was about 2 weeks after AJ threw his, they said it would be in by the end of the season. There was a cool Chinese restaurant around the corner from the Hall...... The Fu King  don't know if its still there bt what a name..
April 29, 200818 yr I was there. Me too. My favorite Marlins games that I attended 1. Game 7 1997 World Series 2. Game 4 2003 World Series 3. Al Leiter's No Hitter 4. First game ever 5. Chris Hammond's Grand Slam
October 21, 200817 yr Author Just wanted to bring this back to see if anyone has got some new pictures. Are the infielders bats there yet?
