Is it safe to say we are done for?

Featured Replies

Yes they are done. That was fu*king pathetic they cant catch 2 fly balls and hang on to the ball at 2nd. This game was over and they blew it.

We collapse under pressure. That is something these BOYS need to work on.

remember the word ROOKIES...next season should be so much better

Disgusting! Season over.

this isnt football.... defense doesnt solely win.

that being said, saying the season is over is disgusting on your part

gotta love our "fans"

Yep, once they learn things willl be better.

If we couldn't win today's game, we cannot make the playoffs. It was a great run while it lasted. Much more than I expected going into the season.

Did you just see that game? A team that is going to make a successful playoff run DOES NOT BLOW A GAME LIKE THAT. Please get over yourself.

so they lost a game.... at worst we are 4 out with about 14 games left... anything can happen, especially with this team

I suppose we could win out, but frankly, a playoff caliber team sweeps the Mets and wins today, and those 3 losses make it almost academic. I am certainly eager to ruin the Phillies chances though!

Tell Hanley to work on basic defensive skills in the offseason. Same goes for Willingham. Day in, day out.

will do :thumbup

and ill also tell them how f***ing amazing they were as rookies in the show :thumbup

I guess I'm a quitter then.

I have no confidence in the bullpen or manager right now to perform well down the stretch to come back from 4.5 games down let alone do well in the postseason.

Naw, SD has a tough series against LA wrapping up tomorrow and we still semi-control our destiny. Does it hurt? Yes. But if we can get on another winning streak we've got this.

No doubt. But what better way to continue a storybook season than with a comeback for the ages?

Get your playoff clinching call ready, Mr. Waltz.

They'll have to enter 2003 mode against the Phillies though next weekend FOR SURE.

penguino no offence man, but youre a glass half empty kind of guy...its amazing that we are dissapointed with this team.....

With all due respect Juanky.....

but did you just seriously say we are in "semi-control" of our destiny?

How so?

If finishing 12-1 is semi-control of our destiny then you are absolutely correct.

Semi as in that our two chief challenges are Philly and San Diego, and we play Philly six times.

We can put a huge dent in Philly's chances while we're chugging along.
