November 10, 200619 yr http://arizona.diamondbacks.mlb.com/NASApp...sp&c_id=ari The purple and teal are gone in favor of "sedona red", sand, and black. I like the colors a lot better, but am not a fan of the text on the front. The road unis are pretty nice, though.
November 10, 200619 yr I don't like the shortened nickname "D-Backs" on their actual uniform. If they didn't want a long name, they shouldn't have chosen the name "diamondbacks" in the first place. And, they could have easily found a creative way to put the entire name on the front of the home jerseys. The road unis looks pretty cool though. The "db" logo on the arm is creative.
November 10, 200619 yr Wow these are SO much better. I especially love how well the colors look on the website and over the A logo :notworthy
November 10, 200619 yr Yes this was a much needed overdue.. I like them.. They sort of similar to the Astors but w/e... I happen to like the shorten DBACKS on the jersey
November 10, 200619 yr Author On the Az Republic website, they asked for fan reaction and the large majority of the Diamond Back fans hate the new look. Although overall, it just seems that they don't like the new management team in place and are against anything they do. I really like the sleeve patch with the "db" snake head. They should use that on their hats.

At first I agreed with you, but at the same time, is having the shortened "DBacks" really any different than the Chicago White Sox only having "Sox" on their jerseys and caps, which they've done for pretty much their entire history?

Everyone all over the baseball world refers to them as the D-Backs. Putting it on their uniform just makes it that much more signifigant. I think the unis are completely awesome.

November 11, 200619 yr It makes more sense than the purple and teal, but goodness, red is so unoriginal. I do like the shortening of the name, though.
November 12, 200619 yr They could have kept the purple just scaled it down, like how the Marlins scaled down the teal in thier uni's. I think thier new unis are pretty whatever, very forgettable.

November 12, 200619 yr MLB seriously needs to step in and band teams from switching to red. I like to be able to tell the teams apart when they take the field.
