Also, I know that they were having a 1997 WS day this season, Does anyone know what day they said it was going to be? It totally slipped my mind when its going to be. I knew someone would come up with that reasoning even while I was typing it. I'm not talking so much the players that were on that team as much as I am talking the Indians' fan base. But I do think that guys that are team players are going to look at it differently too. Pride and egos kick in. I'm sure if we had lost in the 11th inning of Game 7 and then we visited there many fans here and players would feel the same way if they went to the game in Cleveland. And like I said. From our standpoint it is a neat idea. Because Thursday night games are notoriously slow attendance nights it should lessen the number of unused seats. Probably bring in some of the "old crowd" to do some fine reminicing. I personally have nothing against it. It's a good marketing ploy and IMO should be done. It was an exciting time in Marlins history. But I bet if someone from here went to an Indians' board and filled them in on what was happening that June night they would get a very different opinion. They previously only had vhs versions. It looks like they are going all out on promotions this year. Lets hope the team plays good so we can sustain some decent size crowds. The DVD sounds interesting as I have the VHS version. Would be nice if they have the celebration party on it as well with Gloria singing her song. I have the "single" version of that on DV. Actually I play it at Opening Day every year just to get the juices flowing. LOL In any case, I'll have 2 of each and can be talked out of one if someone that is an out of towner wants them. If you live here, don't go, and ask me for them then just slap yourself right now for me. LOL I'm especially looking forward to lawyer appreciation night. Immediatly following this will be "Sue Your Section Night." NOTE TO SELF: Give away tickets to April 19th game. No sense in taking any unneccesary chances. I'm also looking forward (and curious about) the marlins community foundation garage sale. do they sell game-used memorabilia? stuff like that? anyone know what prices are like? they should have a dan uggla bobblehead day.
