Crappy bullpen. Uggla will slide in OBP (I hope not though). Olivo sucks offensively and whoever plays in center will too. I also factored into the predicted record but not the stats the good possibility of a starting pitcher injury.

You have our starting position players hitting 179 homeruns. Add in 15-20 from the bench. The ERA of the starters you have thre is about 3.75. You're saying we're going to lose 92 games even though we hit about 200+ home runs (which means we should be top third in runs scored in the NL), our starters are going to average an ERA of about 3.75 or less, and have a below average bullpen????

You. Are. Nuts.

The starters ERA would be 3.82. But you'll notice that Nolasco is only at 160 innings and Johnson is at 130 innings. I expect the replacements to do much worse .. about 30 starts w/ an ERA around or over 5. Factor in a bullpen which I figure to be awful then the ERA might turn out worse than last year.

Did you miss where I said "if he starts" 3 times? You added all 3 of those guys together. I don't expect Borchard to be anywhere near 19 homeruns being a bench player. With De Aza starting, if he does so all year, he'll probably hit 5 homeruns. The most he's hit in the minors is 4. So the starters would be at 165. Add in 15-20 from the bench like you said .. and that's right around the same as last year (182).

That team is probably good for around 75 wins. Unfortunately I expect one or both of Sanchez and Olsen to get injured and miss some time. So 70 wins sounds about right.

Best case scenario, not using my specific predictions, I think they'll win around 80. But again I hope I'm wrong and the team does much better than I predicted.

I'm gonna say just slightly worse than last year -- 72-90. But hopefully we get a boost in payroll next year after the new stadium deal is announced around All-Star Break.

85-77 and we'll finish third in the division

We'll get our stadium sometime this summer

We'll tweak the team next winter

2008 will be our year
