June 21, 200719 yr Author His 10 days are finally up and he's been officially released. Here's hopin', if he comes cheap.
June 21, 200719 yr OPTIONS The Marlins have some interest in Dodgers outfielder Brady Clark, who could clear waivers today, but have been pleased with rookie call-up Brett Carroll. Carroll was in the starting lineup for the fourth straight day, going 0 for 4 with two strikeouts. Playing center he made a diving catch on Juan Uribe's line drive to preserve an eighth-inning lead. "That's the game right there," closer Kevin Gregg said. "That was a huge play for us." Controversial outfielder Elijah Dukes is also on the Marlins' radar, but only if the Devil Rays are willing to accept little in return. Indications out of Tampa pointed to Dukes being released or traded by this weekend. Maybe we can send down Reggie and take Brady?
June 21, 200719 yr Clark> Reggie, Borchard Send Down Reggie, DFA Borchard and Activate Jacobs, add Clark I think we'll add Clark or Dukes. Hopefully it wll be Clark.

If we are going to add someone, I'd much rather add Dukes just based on potential. It's a big risk, but if it works out we're set in CF for the next 5 years. Clark is 35 and was never all that good.
June 21, 200719 yr yeah dukes has potential but hes kind of the same guy as reggie....speed (reggie has more), power and a good arm
June 21, 200719 yr yeah dukes has potential but hes kind of the same guy as reggie....speed (reggie has more), power and a good arm except he can hit too and is far far younger
June 21, 200719 yr Might as well throw Milton Bradley's name into the fire. He was designated for assignment by the A's today.
June 21, 200719 yr Athletics designated outfielder Milton Bradley for assignment. Bradley had to have done something to really upset management and/or his teammates. Sure, the club was at least a little frustrated about his frequent injuries, but he was playing pretty well when he was able to take the field, batting .292/.373/.446 in 65 at-bats. Maybe the A's will be able to trade him for some relief help, though he'll have little value left now that the team has to move him. Source: rotoworld.com just about to post that
June 21, 200719 yr yeah dukes has potential but hes kind of the same guy as reggie....speed (reggie has more), power and a good arm except he can hit too and is far far younger Dukes is batting .190....nothing too great

Don't let his slow batting average start fool you
June 22, 200719 yr While Dukes would certainly be welcomed by me, I still want Carroll to outright win the job.
