I think early reports are Cam Cameron isnt saying anything because he doesnt know what to do/say.

Ricky Williams is a damn good RB but Cam I believe has said he doesnt want guys like that on his team......

You also said if the Dolphins are smart they would stay away from him.

Yes I stand by that. If he wanted to come to the jets, I would tell him to beat it.

I dont understand why anyone would want a player who repeatedly quits on the team back?

BTW from early reports, it seems like the dolphins might not invite him back.

Actually Profootballtalk.com is reporting that they intend to welcome him back.

I don't want him back. We don't need him. Chatman is doing fine. The only reason to take him back--for me--is if he could somehow help Beck, by taking pressure off of him or whatever. Otherwise, yeah, an aging RB with behavioral issues? We're not gonna get much at all for him.

All I can say is that any team that signs this guy better have a contract that contains a lot of language about drugs/behavior and clearly defined contract garnishments for offenses.

Chatman is a UFA after the season, so you can wave him bye-bye as he gets overpaid by a team desperate at RB. I hate to say it, but it looks like the Fins might need Ricky next season.

I do not want to go into next season having to count on Ricky Williams. This team has put too much faith in him in the past only to get burned time and time again. I am not against Ricky returning or playing but I hope this team is smart enough to postion themeselves in a way that Ricky can not hurt this team again.

I will say that having him back makes Ronnie Brown's return less urgent, thus improving the chances he'll be back at full health when he does return (which I'm willing to wait into next season for).

And in addition, it makes the need to draft someone like McPherson less important as well, as a result of Ronnie's increased potential for full recovery.

Of course, time to heal isn't the only variable involved in the recovery process.

I wonder what happens to ricky now. Do the dolphins bring him into training camp?

I think it all depends on Ronnie Brown's status heading into the season and what we do in the draft. Dude is dirt cheap and we obviously didn't get enough out of him this season to showcase him for a trade. Perhaps we can do that in training camp/beginning of next season.

Ricky is done for the season with a chest muscle injury from this dirty play....

I was stunned that none of the announcers ever really said anything about that injury during the game because the video shows pretty clearly that it was deliberate...I mean, that replay was shown over and over again during the broadcast. I think at one point Jaws just said something along the lines of "he was going for the ball."

You know, and on the way to the ball he decided to stomp on Ricky's shoulder.

That's exactly what I was thinking as well. We are going to get the arguement that it's football and these types of things happen but that really looked intentional to keep Ricky from recovering the fumbled ball.

Oh welll, perhaps the rookie that nailed him will get a fine or something.

What part of it shows it was deliberate? That part where all you see in that one angle is a foot hitting a shoulder? I think itd be best to assume that ANY time ANYbody gets injured by another player, it is deliberate. Seems fair to me.

If you actually watch the replay, not just a foot on a shoulder, you see that he is jumping in the air as Williams is going down because there is a pile of people in front of him he needs to get by. He then notices the football is out so he attempts to get his foot in the ground and change direction on a ridiculously wet field but hits Ricky's shoulder instead. Of course though, that is simply something that makes sense and would happen in the game of football in any given game. But again, I think it is best to assume that a video that only showed a foot on a shoulder PROVES it was deliberate. You're right.

Edit: Just saw a replay on a much bigger screen. Looks even less deliberate now. Before needing to change direction for the fumble, his other foot hits the soaking wet ground and the other foot comes down just after. He needs to stick it in the ground and change direction but there is no ground there and there is no time in between to think, OH NO THERE IS A DOLPHINS RUNNING BACK ON THE GROUND BELOW WHERE MY FOOT WOULD COME DOWN, THEIR FANS ARE GOING TO THINK IM DIRTY BECAUSE THEIR PLAYER GOT INJURED....

I DONT EVEN WANT TO DISCUSS THIS! BRING RICKY BACK, ALL OPPOSED TO THIS SHUT UP, LISTEN TO YOURSELVES RICKY IS RICKY, HE'S THE BEST!!
