The MarlinsBaseball.com Awards will be taking place for the 6th time on Monday, August 4th at 8:00 PM Eastern. Eligibility for awards will be from June 1, 2007 - May 31, 2008. Judges will be selected in late May and nominating/voting will be in June and July. The selection of judges is done by me.

 

The toughest awards to compile a list of nominations for each year is traditionally Thread of the Year and Post of the Year. To try and aid this from occuring again, if you feel a thread or post from the past year is worthy of an award -- suggest it for entry into the Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame can be found by clicking here. Not gaining entry into the Hall of Fame does not mean the thread/post will not be elibigle to win the award in August. This simply will get the thread/post to be noticed by myself and everyone else including the potential judges.

 

A full list of this year's categories will be posted in July.

 

For those users who are new and do not know what the awards are, you can look back at the 2007 awards by clicking here.

I think I've won a couple in the past. I'd like to win one of the flagship awards -- we'll see. Better start looking for a date I guess!
