April 2, 200818 yr RotoWorld.com says: Gregg somehow escaped from the ninth inning despite starting four straight hitters 3-0, oddly ditching his trademark goggles in the process Anyone know why he didn't wear them today? It could definitely be a reason for the control issues. Even if he doesn't need them to see better, it may just be something he's accustomed to.
April 2, 200818 yr I believe it's cuz one of the lenses fell. He put them back on top of his hat when he went back in the dugout.
April 2, 200818 yr This is exactly what the Marlins announcers said when it happen, stating that they were guessing, but whatever.
April 2, 200818 yr Maybe they could spring for an extra pair or two, just in case. maybe he could. it's not like he isn't making enough money to pay for them. i'm surprised he doesn't have multiple pairs in his car and at home. even i buy prescription glasses three at a time.

I like how suddenly Gregg is the token "rich guy" on the Marlins.... since even rookies are making almost $400,000 a year this has nothing to do with picking on the "token rich guy" (unless you're just being smarmy) but eyeglasses are a personal item prescribed by the player's doctor and so I see nothing wrong with the thought he employ a little common sense and buy a few pair because life is full of surprises on and off the field. but let's not belabor the point.
April 2, 200818 yr Saw himself on the scoreboard and realised how stupid he looks wearing them. He is going with Jason Phillips to get Lasik surgery on Thursday's offday. He looks cool in those glasses. If anything, he looks a little weird without them.

April 3, 200818 yr Rich and Tommy said yesterday that he had gotten new glasses this season, and it was his first time playing with them. He couldn't see the catcher with these new ones so he decided he was better off without them
April 3, 200818 yr It sounds like Gregg needs the Mark Hendrickon LASIK treatment. If he does though, he should still wear those goggles but with no prescription.
