June 4, 200818 yr I love it when the Fishies are happy. I really think Fredi really sparked that team up.
June 4, 200818 yr That stupid call at first base definitely lit a fire under their ass and it's nice to see Hanley hitting it out again. Oh, and Gregg didn't blow the save!
June 4, 200818 yr That ejection will be the turning point of the season. We must get the split tomorrow and start dominating at home!
June 4, 200818 yr My Rally Video actually worked! WOOO! Oh...and that Hanley guys...Heeeeee's baaaaaaaaack.
June 4, 200818 yr Even if it worked out for the best, the situation caused by Adrian Johnson still makes him a huge douchebag.
June 4, 200818 yr Author I was on the couch taking a nap on and off throughout the game, and then miraculously, I woke up in the top of the 9th inning. I saw we were down 4-2...so I got up, and I saw Cody Ross lead off the inning with a single. Up to the plate comes Mike Rabelo, and I'm thinking to myself "Oh, God, here comes the automatic out-making machine." The last time I did that it was Robert Andino at the beginning of the year, and low and behold, he hits a walkoff homer. Then all of the sudden, BOOM...Rabelo ties the game with a homer. I totally apologized to him and gave him one of these --> :notworthy . I should doubt players more often. The result is usually great.
June 4, 200818 yr To win a game with the contraversity was great. Hanley's second HR sealed it which is what leaders do in those situations. It will certainly get him some more Allstar Votes. Way to go boys!
June 4, 200818 yr -Hanley's back (since last night, his swing has looked different) -3 scoreless innings from the pen (confidence boost hopefully, b/c we all know, that this pen is better than its #'s on the road trip) -6 innings from Hendrickson (it is what it is) Most importantly...this team never gives up. That's why I love to watch them every night. It's a lot different than last year's team. Btw, big HR, Rabelo. I don't think anyone saw that coming. He made me look like a fool on the gamethread...I thought Cantu would pinch-hit there, but it worked out, for the best.

Normally I try to watch the whole game if it's close, but I went by the last few games and just went to get on the computer. Then I saw on floridamarlins.com that Rabelo was up with no outs and Cody on 1st. I thought "nah, he'll ground in to a double play" and now I feel like a fool. I probably ran the fastest I had ever ran back to the TV to turn on the DISH receiver and TV at the same time without a remote. It was awesome.
June 4, 200818 yr the bar i'm working at JUST got the mlb xtra innings package so I'm happy. pretty good first game of the season to see. this marlins fan in iowa has been building this team up all year. can't wait for july 24 to go to the cubs/fish game. i might get beat up but my uggla jersey will be in full force. much needed win. these are the type of games that spark streaks.
June 4, 200818 yr good win for the finish good to see hanley start to hit again if we can get all the hitters hot we could be just like the phillies team
June 4, 200818 yr as i emphasised earlier, if we win tomorrow its a 4-6 road trip which aint that bad i would have happily taken that before it started granted some of the losses have been tough and could easily have been wins, but thats wot baseball is hey wer still well positioned in the standings
June 5, 200818 yr Been gone for a little while and how are the Marlins 6 games above .500? It's a fluke. By time July roles around, you'll be fighting the Nats and Braves for 3rd place.

June 5, 200818 yr I just looked at stats and OMG... Dan Uggly has 20 home runs? He thinks he Chase Utley or something. Hanley with 60 SOs but otherwise his stats look nice.

June 5, 200818 yr I missed the controversial play involving the first base umpire. Can anyone describe it?

Y'know...it's difficult to tell sarcasm on a message board. And if you're giving us your opinion...then thanks. I don't need it. The games are played on the field...I'll let the Mets prove that themselves, if it is indeed true. We'll see what happens when Pedro wakes up 1 morning, and decides that he can't pitch b/c his pinky toe hurts. The Mets get a lot of attention for a team who has the highest payroll in the NL, didn't make the playoffs last year, and have been playing mediocre baseball, since last May.
