Is it true that Josh Beckett is real cocky and not really a nice person? He seemed like a real nice guy but now I am starting to think twice!

When I watched the news, one of the reporters tryed to talk to Josh and he kinda ignorded him. He also would not sign autographs. unlike the other players.

 

is it true? What is Josh really like?

Josh is nice he'll stop after the game and signed a few autographs. He just had lots of confidence in himself.

Yeah... He is very cocky, but I think is all a charade. He is trying to be like Roger Clemens, who has been a major a**hole throughout his career. However, I do not believe he is mean to the fans. He is mean to the reporters because 99% of them never gave respect to the Marlins. Do not believe everything you hear in the news. Beckett is cool and deserves to give crap to the reporters who treated the Marlins like underdogs. :cool Beckett is God

I wouldnt call beckett a 'nice' guy but he's definately not 'mean or arrogant' or cocky for that matter either.

I was a little bit embarrassed for him during his post-game interview. I feel he could have been a little bit more humble. Baseball is a very humbling sport and he should be thanking God he was able to win it all. It's a very rare thing.

 

Hopefully, he was just paying the media back for all their trash-talking about the Marlins over the past 6 years - that would be nice to know that he had the team's back. If not, then he is a little too arrogant for his britches and will get it back 10-fold at some point. They all do! LOL

 

Right now, we all love the guy - he gave us the biggest treat of our LIVES!

i remember when he got drafted he said he planned on making the all-star game in 2-3 years... not many vets were happy about it like alex fernandez. the man believes in himself, its good to have someone who expects to do all these great things

Josh is a great guy, he's just very confident in himself as a player and in his stuff. He seems pretty layed back when he not playing baseball and his teammates say he's a really good guy ! I think he's awesome !

I agree with most of what you say, however let's keep in mind that he is only 23.

 

His parents seem to be very very humble, so this may be his media face what we are seeing here.

Josh is so Nice to the Fans! He signs everysingle day at batting practice for like 20-30 Minutes. After the game he use to stop but you get a little tired after a while. He isnt cocky at all.....

Yeah, He is Cocky, AJ... Not to the fans as far as I know... But he makes the media come begging... I love when he does that. Specially, when all these people who are now gushing over him were the ones belittling the Marlins...
