July 10, 200818 yr I don't like it at all. It looks like an ugly rectangle box. IOW, another ugly Chase Field. I'll stick with the spaceship like design.
July 10, 200818 yr eh, not a huge fan. I think its cool, but just seems to long and plain. Doesn't say baseball either. You need a park to look like a park. IE. The new Citi Field looks great and you just want to get inside and see a game.
July 10, 200818 yr Don't like it much. I'd still like to see an Art Deco style park, with some kind of decorative tower behind home plate...nothing too large, but with some kind of beacon on the top.....

July 11, 200818 yr I like the design but not for Miami. Art Deco somehow would be the way to go.... the spaceship design, well they will call it the TEAL COCKROACH....that is a horror show.......geez
July 11, 200818 yr If we really want to add a little Cuban spice to our ballpark because of its location we might as well model it after some of the great stadiums in Cuba. Problem is all the stadiums over there look like sh*t. I say we get all futuristic with this baby because it's Miami. Not a big fan of this stadium and I don't think that fish ontop of the stadium looks safe, especially when it's on a retractable roof.

Showing the city somehow within the structure is actually nice for fans, and people watching in other states.

Too much classical column work; other than perhaps the Miami Dade Courthouse, I can't think of any significant building in Miami that has a similar sort of architecture. This looks more appropriate in Washington than Miami (and would have probably made a nice exterior than the boring outside of Nationals Park.) I think it is useless trying to design a ballpark that doesn't fit in its city. For the same reason, the "red brick, green seats" that works in Baltimore and other Northern cities wouldn't work well in Miami. Miami should have an art deco inspired exterior.

The designer does make a point: the 2005 proposal looks out-of-place for Little Havana. That being said, this design looks more suited for a "Little Athens" than a "Little Havana".
