Our "ACE" goes for win number 11!

I remember at 1 point during the season people wanted him gone.

I'm new to this board but it seems at one point or another this board wants everyone gone. Hanley might be the exception.

"You claimed Nolasco was our ace, I showed you that Olsen is better than him in EVERY way except for wins, but that the team has won more games in Olsen's starts, which is actually MUCH more important...."

Yeppers, Olsen should have at least 10 wins, but Nolasco is better in most meaningful ways, but not by a wide margin.

It was just that Olsen was getting as much run support as the Padres are giving their pitchers.

No doubt, that is why he should have at least 10 wins, that and the fact that the pen has blown tons of leads when he was the pticher of record.

Koruda is coming off a 1 hitter against the braves...which is not sayin much

Nolasco is coming off a great came in San DIego and no doubt couldve had a complete game

Dodgers had won 7 of their last 9 before entering this series

Marlins had beat the padres 2 of 3 in San Diego

After the ball game Nolasco is gonna see a W next to his name

I'd argue that Olsen has been better in most meaningful ways.

Ricky has been the most dominant at times, but Olsen has given us the most chances to win.

At the time when PWG said that, Olsen had been beat up twice (this was before Colorado), and Nolasco had been truly destroyed 4 times. All of Olsen's stats were better, and probably still would be if it wasn't for that one start in Colorado that .50. He of course came back with a DOMINANT performance in San Diego.

PWG was right.

I'd argue that Olsen has been better in most meaningful ways.

Go for it, but you would be incorrect. All that aside, I am just happy that we have some guys doing so well that we want to dispute the tiny amount that one is better than the other.

I don't see why that's so funny.

I dont give a rats buttox how is our ace as long as we win and pitch like we have latley we'll be serious contenders and be in october

Go Fish!

And may the Phillies and Mets lose.

Man i hope they lose take those damn mets fans off their high. Philly too. I was on the mets board the other day and their sayin the same thing they said early in the year the marlins will fade none of their pitcher have pitched 200+ inning or something. i think its just their way of rationalizing (spelled that wrong) things so they dont feel so scared.

I am glad that we finally have a stable rotation. Now we will have a battle to see who will be the 5th spot in the rotation when Sanchez comes back. I wuz extremely high on Volstad when he wuz drafted and still am. Nolasco please give us a win tonight!

He was wrong, stats aside Nolasco has been solid this year sure he didn't start great but I don't care he has proven he is an excellent pitcher and the ACE of the staff.

They are both good pitchers but right now Nolasco is the "Ace" of the team.

Olsen has given us the most chances to win? hmm seems to me Nolasco has given the Marlins their fair share of chances to win as well.

I rally dont see how this conversation is necessary. Volstad will be our ACE soon enough.
