I really hope they come back and make me eat crow for that thread I started about how they were done, though. +1 This season was a success, and as much as some are arguing that it shouldn't matter what your payroll is in another thread, it DOES matter at times. Our scouts aren't ALWAYS going to be better than everyone else's, and at some point, you have to bite the bullet and be willing to pay some of the players that are worth it. At least we finally made an effort with Hanley (now they'd better not trade him).

There is a reason you have to compose your entire post before you can submit it, and there are also spellchecks and preview post options available. I don't expect everyone to spell perfectly and all that, but the excuse that its just a forum is lame, forums should be at least a step above IM conversations. If I wanted to read posts like that I'd be on the ESPN boards. And apologies to MrMarlinPride, didn't mean to single you out like that.

August 17, 200817 yr 37 games left, 4.5 games out is the current marlins position 17 games left, 7 games up was the mets position last year and they lost it BELIEVE we have plenty of time to make up the difference

I recall everyone, myself included, saying the marlins will lose 100 games. well we won 64 games, and we will not lose 100 games. and we're still in the hunt for the division.

Whether this team makes it or not, they've provided many joyous moments for my family and I. I'll watch till Game 162, regardless of what the standings look like.
