Pudge? Highly unlikely, U are taking out Hermida, i doubt the team gives up on him this early. U want our minor league system all up. Ur not going to get that. u need a small portion of players at a time, Coughlen should not be up yet, Jacobs with 30 home runs needs to stay, McPherson is a 3rd/1st baseman straight up.
September 3, 200817 yr Well, I disagree with it. But I'll point out two things I disagree with that everyone should be disagreeing with. 1. McPherson sucks in LF. 2. Nolasco has pitched like an ace for over 3 months now. Why not him on Opening Day? Don't just look at what he's done...look at how he's getting it done. His WHIP and K:BB rate are just amazing, ever since the first month and a half.

You do realize he is talking about Opening Day 2009, not tomorrows lineup, right? 2. Jacobs is up for arbitration, and his average is terrible. 3. It is common for 1st baseben to make the transition to LF. 4. They already tried to trade Hermida, I think they have given up on him. 5. Why do we need to only bring up a small portion of our minor league system?

It is common, but i guess u have not seen MePherson play the outfield, he sucks 4. No, all I am sayin is don't bring in a minor league team to play in the minors, bring in a few guys, Raynor, Maybin, and an extra starter would be nice next year, but that is it. Raynor and Maybin add that speed, yet we get to keep our power guys in the lineup, we also will have everyone healthy to begin the year, that will be awesome. 2.again, I hate this team of just power, read #1 and that is how i feel 3.Jacobs is not the best defensive 1st baseman, but do u really feel bringing in a rookie to start will increase the defense? I would say more errors at that. 4. No they have not, he has gotten a slap on the wrist, that is all.
September 3, 200817 yr Its more common for leftfielders to make the switch to first, which is what i would do put Hammer at first, he can play there less wear and tear on the back. Still wouldn't give up on Uggla or Hermida and I can't see the Marlins placing that many youngsters in the everyday line-up just yet. I also don't think Pudge would want to come back to a team not in contention he's already taken two teams money that weren't supposed to be that good (Us in 03 and Det in 04), he's now playing for another ring, also he blew as the Tiger everyday catcher this season so not much of an upgrade if you ask. 2009 boils down to Maybin being ready and serious upgrades in lf and catcher. Opening day line-up I'd like is: ss-Ramirez, cf-maybin, 3b-cantu, 1b-willingham, lf-????, 2b-uggla, rf-hermida, c-????, p-nolasco

I have a feeling these guys are more talented. Besides, I'm not saying that we're going to be World Series Champs next year, but thats why we are rebuilding. We'll be a good team in a few years. 2. Actually, its pretty hard to understand. You said you wanted to keep Jacobs. You also said there are other areas where we could lessen power but imrpove speed. Why dont we just get rid of Jacobs? Thats a perfect solution. 3. Hanley had 26 errors in his rookie season. He is currently on pace to have about 24. Not that big of a difference. 4. You're taking a chance by keeping Hermida. I think Fredi should put in some younger players to give them more experience.
September 3, 200817 yr The problem is the word rebuilding, "we'll be good in a few years" if we have the pieces to win, why not keep them and win now? Is that so hard? Really there has to come a time where u say stop wit the rebuilding crap,

U have to put a stop at some point. I am sorry I am very annoyed with the constant "we'll be good in a few years" NO, WE HAVE THE PARTS TO WIN NOW. We have the pitching, we have the good hitting, all we need are a few minor callups (not the overwhelming amount u suggest) and we will be on the right track. U are another of those crazy fans who always think ur prospects doing good in the minors will be better than the guy doing good in the majors. Keep Jacobs in, Keep Uggla, Keep Cody, Keep Hanley, we need to see familiar faces

Texas has 3 catchers, and we will have to give up some of our pitching prospects to get him The problem with that is we don't have many pitching prospects. It's going to have to be someone with the big team right now. And I think some of the guys we could call up could increase our offensive production, or at the very least, limit the losses while increasing our defense.

We have only given these guys 2 and a half years to work with each other, in reality not enough time. We have proved many teams wrong, keeping this team together shows other teams that we are serious about winning right now. If we don't, we are again seen as the team that just sells off every year
