the only way i would trade for prince is if the organization decided they want to spend some money and sign prince long term. i'd definitely do miller for prince but the brewers would want more and i wouldn't be willing to give up anymore top prospects.

I don't know, the Brewers would definitely be more than intrigued by Andrew Miller for Prince Fielder.

i personally rather keep miller...but whatever is best for this organization i'll go with it

haven't really seen many brewer games is he good defensively? i don't want to jump to conclusions because he is fat so if he is solid like jacobs um i wouldn't mind...but impossible i doubt we will get him

I know there isnt a chance in hell that we would ever get Prince Fielder.

But that doesnt mean we cant discuss him as a player, or even talk about who you would be willing to trade in order to get him - even tho the team wont.

Also, people may be willing to discuss the matter of whether on the Giants part if its worth it to trade away Lincecum or Cain in order to acquire him.

Once again, someone throws out a legitimate question and even backs his question up with a caveat about how it might be cost prohibitive. However, it turns into a mud slinging event and people are constantly forced to to defend their answers from individuals who would rather type something to get an outrageous response than actually talk maturely about Marlins Baseball.

 

Honestly, who gives a flying F what someone's name is or if the thread is serious. let me let you in on a little secret people: Nothing would suprise me from this season. The truth be told, being this close to winning the division and possibly coming up short my cause the purse strings to be opened slighty. Dont always believe the media when they say we are dumping salary in the off season.

 

I know my post number isn't that high but I have been around long enough (almost 3.5 years), in my opinion, to say that the quality of posters on this site has gone downhill dramatically in the last 6 months. I respectfully disagree with your statement, Hanley is by far the face of this franchise. I know that someone out there is thinking that that philosophy didnt work with Miggy but honestly did anyone in the Front office ever say that He was the face of the future in S. Fla?

 

The only other big time deal Loria agreed to was the Carlos Delgado deal and I think that it is safe to say that with the way that deal was structured (extremely back loaded) that it was no more than an experiment.

yea if hanley traded no surprise...because that is how this franchise has been since it's existance....we are a farm we grow players and once they reach super star status they are gone....remember the lowell signing? i mean i am glad we got hanley but wasn't loweel signed for a long time?
