LEBRON JAMES BAYBEE!!!!

Featured Replies

Lebron had one hell of a season, but he was basically named MVP in October. Everybody knew Lebron would win way before the season started, simply because he was Lebron. He has a better supporting cast this year, thus his win total has increased. Not statistically Lebron's best season in his 6 years in the NBA, but it was his best team player season. He distributed the ball well, and the Cavs have the best team chemistry in the NBA. Well deserved by Lebron, and it was bound to happen.

From a non-biased view, I still think D-Wade deserved it.

I know the ballots are held before the playoffs, but if Wade could've won that Hawks series and taken over in game 7, I would agree. He seemed to lack his drive that he had in previous years, and it just seemed Lebron was determined this year, it was his year to win the award. Wade will have to wait until 2010 when he resigns here and the Heat get him some true veteran help, hopefully Lebron :p j/k

Well, as you said before, I don't think it mattered what type of season Wade had, it was going to LBJ no matter what...sad though. If you take James off of the Cavs, you still have Williams, Big Z, West, Gibson, Varejao, etc. They could still probably make the playoffs. Take Wade off of the Heat and who's the best player...Jermaine O'neal?

i don't have a problem with lebron winning, but wade was more valuable to his team than lebron was. heat are in the lottery without wade. probably the worst team in the nba.

& without LeBron the Cavs go from best in the NBA to possibly no playoffs (check that, maybe they do make the playoffs...they play in the LEastern Conference, after all).

Had his name on the trophy before the season started, and thats one reason why the NBA blows

I feel you man. People need to get off LeBron's ****. I mean he's good, but look at others like Wade and Paul.

Puky sports analysis? Yeah... I'm sure Lebron wanted it more.

:-P Good for him though- I'm just happy Kobe is out of the picture.

You mean that conference with three of the four best teams in the NBA when KG is healthy?

... and the conference with the reigning world champions.

Bottom line: Eastern Conference has more parity. West conference has so many high record teams because it has so many crappy teams like OKC, MIN, MEM, LAC, etc. etc.

Wade deserved it more. He had the better season with less talent around him. Like Dim said, he was named MVP in October. But whatever, he's still a great player.

The 8th seed in the East was 4 games under .500.

That's what I meant. A mediocre team can get in, in the East, and the Cavs would be mediocre without LeBron.

And the heat are a 20 win team without D wade. Which is why he should have won MVP.

The Heat finished 43-39. Nothing out of this world.

The Cavs finished with the best record in the NBA & their best player by far won the award. There's nothing wrong with that.

Also...this can be said about a lot of superstars in the NBA.

Where are the Cavs without LeBron?

Where are the Hornets without Chris Paul?

Where are the Magic without Dwight Howard? (here's hoping no one here thinks like Skip Bayless, and begins to mention Game 6 of the 1st round as proof to "prove me wrong.")

Heck, since we're going by this...lets just hand Chauncey Billups the MVP trophy, considering the difference he made was extremely obvious, as the Nuggets were a 1st round exit who couldn't play defense without him, as opposed to what they are now (2nd in the West, and looking very impressive and different in the playoffs).

It is what it is.

D.Wade's stats aren't so different from LeBron's for the NBA to ignore LeBron's stats / LeBron's team having the best record.

The Heat without D Wade last year were a 15 Win team. 15. That is WITHOUT D Wade. He comes back, with no talent on his team(well much less than the Cavs), and takes them to the playoffs. Not only did he do that, he was a better offensive player and IMO a better defensive player than Lebron. He led the league is scoring for a reason.

It goes down like this. Take D Wade from the Heat, they have no chance of making the playoffs. Take Lebron from the Cavs, they still have a chance to go to the playoffs.

I'm not mad at Lebron for winning the MVP. Congrats to him. He just didn't deserve it more than D Wade. The reason he won it, however, was because everyone wanted him to win it because he's "The King". Like Dim said, he basically had it locked up since October.

I agree with Dim as well. His hype is a little absurd.

But still, as you said...that's still a significant improvement. With LeBron, the Cavs are the best team in the NBA, record wise. Without LeBron, they are a borderline playoff team, if that. That's still a significant improvement.

At the end of the day, both LeBron and D.Wade improve their teams by about 20-30 wins.

If you want to say he won it because he has more hype, I agree...but I also think you are taking away the fact that LeBron's team had the best record in the NBA. That's always going to get more attention.

So we should penalize lebron for playing on a good team?

No. He is not more valuable to his team than Dwyane Wade is. Without him last year, they were a 15 win team! Why is everyone forgetting that? They are a pathetic team, and he still took them to the playoffs.

So it was a 28 win improvement.

You don't think the Cavs would be about 28 games worse without LeBron James?
