Nay or Yay - Airplane rides.

Nay for me. I absolutely hate airplanes so when I go to Europe I will be under my chair in a ball praying for a perfect landing.

I guess I'm an ok flyer. It's something to has to be done to get to nice places.

I like it. My first time i was scared LOL but i was only 10. Now that i'm 19, i love the feeling of speed when it takes off. So yeah you just gotta get used to it.

I have been on a plane about 10 times, only thing I don't like is the pressure change but other than that I have no problem with flying so YAY!

Dont really love them but I'll do it to travel... leaving on Friday actually to see the Fish/Mets series

Yes I do like flying :) ...most of the time..

You better, thats what you are going to do the rest of your life.

I don't mind them. I just hate when there's turbulence.

Thats the worse!

Up until late '07, I hadn't been on a plane in 11 years. I thought I would be nervous as hell the whole time, but after a few minutes in the air it was like nothing.

My first time flying alone, a really creepy old guy talked to me at night.

He said something like, "Isn't this fun? This would be a nice time for you to be alone with a guy, huh?". :|

i don't mind airplanes and flight in general ..... it's commercial flying that stinks - very cramped up experience and not the friendlies of industries

however, the trade off of a quick trip definitely offsets it, so Yay for me

Ive been on a plane ride once to NC and im not to sure how big the plan was but there was a ton of empty seats. I realy enjoyed it. I used to be scared that they would crash but then i thought about all the plane flights daily and all the ones the marlins take every year and they dont crash so i figured my chances of crashing were slim lol.

I HATE flying... I get very nervous. Every time the plane loses even a little altitude, I think it's going down and going to crash. The last time I flew was in 2003, going to and coming back from Game 3 of the World Series in Miami.

I have no problem with flying.

Crashing on the other hand, I'm not so fond of.

I don't like it. I'm just not comfortable being 5 miles in the air hurting through the ionosphere at 600 mph. If I can drive there in a day I'd much rather do that - I like to see the rest of the country.

I don't mind flying. If you want to do any traveling, it's just something that you have to do. The concept of being 35,000 feet in the air in a flying in a metal tube at 600 mph is frightening, but you just have to remember that it is a extremely safe form of transportation. You are more likely to go outside today and get hit by a bus then die in a plane crash. My theory is if it's your time to go, it's your time to go...so you may as well get on the plane, enjoy the flight, and have a great trip.

?i love flying in airplanes i just pray that it dosent crash.

I have to fly to LA every six months, so luckily I have no problem with flying. Well, actually the only problem I do have is how boring it can get up there!

I do understand the fear of flying to a degree, Someone strapped into a tube at 37,000 feet going mach .7 and only the 2 pilots knowing whats really going on. That lack of control for the passenger can be scary. Me being a pilot im a bit biased but driving on the interstate is much much more scary to me. I saw a guy talking on his phone with one hand, eating something with the other and driving with his knees at what I can assume to be 80 miles per hour on the highway the other day. With texting teenagers and drunk drivers behind the wheel on the interstates I take advantage of flying to where I have to go whenever possible.

I wouldn't say that I enjoy them, but if I wanted to go somewhere, then I'm definitely going to fly. If you're scared, just remember that you're ten times more likely to get into a car crash than a plane crash.

It might be scary at times but it's actually one of the safest ways to travel.

What if it's just the pilot's time?

Flying is ok -- my first flight alone was on a prop plane not unlike the one that crashed in Buffalo a few months back -- that was interesting. But a 15 hour non-stop flight will clear any issues you might have -- it did for me.

People say that as if those who are afraid of flying don't already know it.
