June 27, 200917 yr Rays defeat the Marlins 7-3. Johnson: 6 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 6 SO 2B: Coghlan (9), Ramirez (24), Gload (5) HR: Ramirez (12)
June 27, 200917 yr Uh, got hosed by that crappy call. Then everyone became a mess. And we could have possibly been tied for first. Disappointing.
June 27, 200917 yr I really hate the Devil-Rays. Hopefully they'll move or get contracted soon so I don't have to hear about the "Checkers f*** The Rays Up The Ass With A Broomstick Series" or Dewayne Staats' stupid voice ever again.
June 27, 200917 yr Walking Navarro was another one of the many questionable calls by Fredi Gonzalez. Today would have been a great game to win since it would've put us at first with the Phillies loss and the Mets currently losing.
June 27, 200917 yr Pinto has always been trash...he's just lucky sometimes. Renyel "I Love to give Walks" Pinto.
June 27, 200917 yr Bases empty: 1.00 WHIP Runners on: 1.64 WHIP Good call to intentionally walk Navarro, Fredi.
June 27, 200917 yr That's ok. All NL East teams are lost, tonight. Still 1-game away to the top. Yeah, but It would feel better to be .5 game back. We could have but now we have to win the next 2.
June 27, 200917 yr Pinto isn't trash. When his concentration is there he's very good. He just seems to lack that concentration at times. Like the blown call, after that he was lost.

Bet you really hated them when we were sweeping them left-and-right back in the day, huh? When we owned them. :thumbup Probably not.

He gets paid to do this. Concentration is not an issue, he's walked plenty of batters before today and at times has been lucky to get out of the jams he gets himself in to and the 1.50 WHIP speaks for itself.
June 27, 200917 yr I don't care if it was a 3-0 count...why the hell would you just intentionally walk Navarro??? Idiot.

Hanleys homer luckily just got Johnson off the hook befor the bullpen blew it

Yes, I've always hated them. Ever since I first saw those hideous uniforms with the rainbow colored "Devil-Rays" on the chest. I hate all Florida teams that don't play in Miami.
June 27, 200917 yr All players are getting paid to do there jobs. If they were doing their jobs we'd win every game. I think the reason the organization keeps holding onto Pinto is he's shown flashes of being really good but he mentally isn't there yet. Let's name a few just like Mr. Pinto we used to have around....Penny and Olsen. Once you rattled their cages, it was all over.
June 27, 200917 yr You know what really grinds my gears? Losing 5/6 to Tampa last year and losing 3/4 to them so far this year. Not only do we have to deal with that, but, for some reason, we get the Rays announcers for 5 out of the 6 games. So... we get it rubbed in our faces. Losing to the Rays has just been getting to me, probably because I remember when they sucked. I'm glad its more of a competitive series, but now the Marlins are just outmatched all the damn time.
June 27, 200917 yr And, btw, that call in the 8th that went the Rays way was close and could have gone either way.
June 27, 200917 yr Last 3 starts, Niemann allowed 9 era through 12.2 ip. also, Price has been pitched with lots of balls, not strikes. (He rarely could pitch 6+ innings, just once in this season) Just positive.
