August 9, 200916 yr I discovered today that there is thread that links to other MLB Fan sties. Watching today's game against the Phillies, I wandered over to the Phillies. http://www.philaphans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92978 I know we all "hate" on other players when they're hot against us but this is just hilarious Cody Ross seriously, can someone up in the CBP area simply kill this little bald-headed prock today/tonight?..I am so sick of this little mutha ffraker beating us and/or helping them win games against other teams,I could throw a heavy object at the TV every time I see this little creep come to the plate.Tell the truth, doesn't he just look like the kind of kid in junior HS you wanted to punch in the face just because of the look on his face?.He just looks like a little punk. And beide that he comes from New Mexico..New Mexico, where the frig is that!!???Nobody comes from New Mexico....Please ,someone,do an old guy, with 4 bypasses, and after yesterday 2 stents, a favor, and KILL CODY ROSS before or during tonight's game..maybe in his first AB would be a nice touch.I HATE THIS BALD_HEADED LITTLE PRICK!! and here's what I'm doing with him...Thank you from the bottom of my bypassed and stented heart...
August 9, 200916 yr Bwahaha... you know, theres probably a convoluted way in which Cody can press charges against that guy
August 9, 200916 yr Once again, Phillies fans show how classy they are. Imagine someone here writing the same thing about Moyer!
August 9, 200916 yr Author Once again, Phillies fans show how classy they are. Imagine someone here writing the same thing about Moyer! Our moderators wouldn't allow it, I don't think. It brings the entire forums down.
August 9, 200916 yr Do Philly fans know this is what fans of every other team say/think about Victorino?
August 9, 200916 yr Author When you've got Philly fans hating you, you know you've done something good. Wes Helms?

August 9, 200916 yr 3 more hits so far from Cody today Hopefully that Phillies fan has smashed his tv already
August 9, 200916 yr Author 3 more hits so far from Cody today Hopefully that Phillies fan has smashed his tv already Who knows. He might be in a hospital right now about to get another bypass. With that much hate no wonder his heart is the way it is!
August 9, 200916 yr The whole game Rich and Tommy were saying how great the Philadelphia fans are and I just kind of ignored that. I understand that Tommy still likes Philadelphia and the Phillies organization for his time there, but seriously I think Philadelphia fans are some of the worst. They remain loyal to the team for the most part, but Donovan McNabb is a perfect example of the "I hate him, I love him" paradox that most Philly fans contribute to. Sure, there's plenty of Philadelphia fans, in fact I think today was there 50th sellout of the year (man it'd be nice to hear that about the Fish), but anyway I just have a general dislike for Philadelphia fans. They rank up their with Chicago, NY, and Boston fans. And the comment about Ross, it was probably just some Philly prick. Moyer has pwned us almost every time we've faced him, but not once have I wanted to say "kill that old bastard!" I've got the utmost respect for Moyer, even though almost every time we see him, we lose. Expect for today. :lol

They talked a bunch about how they'll boo just about anything.
August 10, 200916 yr That guy Needs jesus in his life soon, Before he hurts himself or somebody else lol!
August 10, 200916 yr You'd think that after a quad bypass, he'd figure there are more important things in life than hating a baseball player.
August 10, 200916 yr Author Talking about Phillies fans, here's something from the recap article from Sunday's game. This is in relation to the Phillies fans booing everything and everyone after Victorino's ejection: Throughout the long rally, the fans repeatedly booed each ball called by Rapuano. When the inning ended, the fans' frustrations were taken out on Langhorne Slim, who was singing "God Bless America" during the seventh-inning stretch. Slim tried to offer some comforting words before the singing, and he was booed. They booed someone about to sing God Bless America. WTF. It's baseball! Things like Take me out to the Ball Game and God Bless America and beer and hot dogs should go untouched no matter how pissed you are. Meh.
August 10, 200916 yr As a compliment to Cody, that's as good as it gets. Being a Marlin fan, I thought he was conveying my thoughts about Chase Utley.
August 10, 200916 yr theres probably a convoluted way in which Cody can press charges against that guy Cody can't bring criminal charges (no individual can) but the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern Dictrict of Pennsylvania certainly could: 18 USC §875 c) Whoever transmits in interstate or foreign commerce any communication containing any threat to kidnap any person or any threat to injure the person of another, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both. http://www.law.corne...ode/18/875.html The maximum fine for an individual under Title 18 is $250,000, so the maximum combined penalty ("or both") is 5 years in prison plus a $250K fine. The main case dealing with §875 is United States v. DeAndino, 958 F.2d 146 (US Ct. App. 6th Cir. 1992.) It held that the crime requires proof of three specific elements: 1) there must be a transmission in interstate commerce, 2) there must be a communication containing the threat, and 3) the threat must be a threat to injure the person of another. Nothing about intent, that is, the government doesn't have to prove the sender of the message intended to actually do anything or have anyone else do anything, the mere words in the message are enough. DeAndino was a Sixth Circuit decision and the First, Second, Fourth, and Fifth circuit courts have followed it, so it's pretty much the law of the land at this point. Were the U.S. Attorney in Philly to indict this idiot and he was convicted and then appealed to the Third Circuit (which includes Philadelphia,) the odds are extremely high that the Third Circuit would follow the rest of the circuit courts of appeal which have heard similar appeals and have consistently followed DeAndino. If they didn't, the government would likely ask the U.S. Supreme Court to hear it and they likely would because of the split at the circuit level. The government would likely win in the USSC as there is NO reference to intent in the statute. In other words, the moron who wrote that message is well and royally screwed if anyone in the U.S. Attorney's office in Philly decides to pursue it.

August 10, 200916 yr Typical Phillies fans reaction to losing, did you see anything about their thoughts on Victorino getting tossed from center??
August 10, 200916 yr Should we notify him? :lol The U.S. Attorney in Philly isn't likely to pursue it, but it might be useful if someone posted a link to this thread on the Philly board. One or more boneheads might finally realize that one is committing a serious federal felony when one posts stupid stuff like: Cody Ross seriously, can someone up in the CBP area simply kill this littlebald-headed prock today/tonight? and/or: Please ,someone,do an old guy, with 4bypasses,and after yesterday 2 stents, a favor, and KILL CODY ROSSbefore or during tonight's game..maybe in his first AB would be a nicetouch. I really don't know how some people manage to tie their shoes, considering their apparent lack of functioning brain cells.
