August 14, 200916 yr leorux to AA God Bless. Any news on who is called up? Cody Ross is day to day, so there is a realistic possibility that it is Brett Carroll. Cristhian Martinez is also on the 40 man roster, and seeing as he is the only realistic relief pitcher available still on the 40 man roster, he seems like the safe bet. It depends on how Freddi is thinking. If he want's another outfielder for a few games while Cody is taking rest days off then he can call up B.C. which I think we should do. Or if he want's another arm for tomorrow which we shouldn't need he can call up a pitcher like Martinez or maybe Hensley but most likely Martinez.
August 14, 200916 yr Why was leroux called up anyway? In another note, good game by the fish! Looks like colorado won't sleep tonight since they face JJ tommorow :shifty and MMP, wheres my Mountain Dew, huh? :hat I was thirsty and you didn't remind me. Great Win, Solid outing by West and the offense did it's job. Looking to take the momentum into this upcoming series where we need to take at least 2 of 3 from the Rockies. :confused We could be looking dead in the face at a wildcard tie after this series...
August 14, 200916 yr Why was leroux called up anyway? For exactly what he did tonight. :eyebrow And that's supposed to mean what, exactly? I didn't see the game.
August 14, 200916 yr Why was leroux called up anyway? For exactly what he did tonight. :eyebrow To throw an inning or 2 to save the rest of the bullpen especially if West had a bad outing. God Bless that he didn't and we won the game.
August 14, 200916 yr :confused We could be looking dead in the face at a wildcard tie after this series... That's a good thing though and why have our Ace starting the series off.

August 14, 200916 yr For those of you wondering, in my opinion, we root for the Braves. In a perfect situation, if we were to sweep the Rox while Atlanta sweeps the Phils, we'd be tied for the Wild Card lead and 1.5 behind the Phils in the East, while still leading the Braves by half a game. Thats the extreme positive but that just shows you, I think we'd be best in rooting for Atlanta over Philly. But of course, like Fredi says, just go out and win games. :thumbup

August 14, 200916 yr Crap I didn't know Cody with a sore back. We need him for this series, it's possibly the biggest one so far. K owing fredi we will call up another arm and use boni for two starts. I'm not big on boni and hermida in the lineup and the OF.

Sure, it sucks when that team is a division rival, but in the end second place is going to mean nothing so its all or nothing. The Phillies must go down.
August 14, 200916 yr I say we root for the Marlins to beat the Rockies, and let the Phillies and Braves beat up on each other. That's what I'll be rooting for.
August 14, 200916 yr According to mlb.com... 10th straight game with 10 or more hits ... seems like the offense has been clicking since getting Nick Johnson
August 14, 200916 yr West is MVP of the game because he didn't walk anybody. Major Leagues seem to get great swings at West and hit him hard. He benefitted from some fine plays behind him last night, esp. Cody's grab of a Tejada liner that would have plated a couple mor runs. Overall, West is worrisome at best.
