September 19, 200917 yr Chalk up another win fou UM next week. If the team is watching, they must be licking their chops. VT's offense is putrid today. All of their points are off Nebraska mistakes. They brought the opening kickoff to the Nebraska 28 for the TD and their RB broke free for 50 years or whatever it was to get them in to FG range. 12-10 Nebraska at the half. I still want VT to win though so it looks better when UM beats them next week. I hope UM isn't getting overconfident though(yes, like I am :lol). They could actually afford to lose to OU(and still make it to the title game) assuming they run the table afterwords. UNC worries me though. I never thought I'd be worried about a UNC FOOTBALL team, but it is so.
September 19, 200917 yr There's one rule in football that makes no sense to me. Nebraska was just victimized by it. Their receiver caught a pass going out of the back of the endzone. He got 2 feet in and had control but because the ball came out of his hands when he hit the ground it was ruled incomplete. Why isn't the play over the instant the receiver makes the catch(on a catch in the endzone)? Why does it matter what happens afterwords? That's how it works when a RB barely gets into the endzone. As soon as he breaks the plain of the goal line the play is over. It doesn't matter if he fumbles the ball. I remember the Dolphins were victimized by that like 10 years ago against the Patriots(Or the Colts?). They lost the game because of it. Also, the ground can't cause a fumble. So how could the receiver fumble the ball when he hits it? Out-of-bounds no less? Also, what ever happened to the RB going up and over at the goal line to score? Was that outlawed? I can't remember the last time I saw that in college or the NFL.

VT looks like crap, but they won to help UM's resumé, FSU is killing BYU to do the same thing and maybe UM will move ahead of BYU in the polls, and maybe they'll even move ahead of USC considering Washington is way unranked. Since Nebraska lost UM will be moving past them too(and possibly VT since that win was U.G.L.Y). Utah lost as well so if UM doesn't move up at least 5 spots there ought to be an investigation.

And it wasn't a little 10 point victory either. Texas also played Louisiana-Monroe and Wyoming before beating Tech. Both of them beat cupcake teams their first two games, and then beat decent unranked teams by 10. Even if the Longhorn's wins are slightly better, I'm not complaining about it.
