January 6, 201016 yr Randy Johnson has retired from baseball after 22 major-league seasons. The free-agent left-hander held a conference call with reporters on Tuesday night to announce his decision. Johnson's agents originally announced that he would hold his conference call Wednesday at noon ET, but changed the time to avoid a conflict with the Hall of Fame announcement Wednesday at 2 p.m. ET. Johnson, 46, has nothing left to accomplish. He retires with five Cy Young awards, 303 wins, 4,785 strikeouts and a 3.29 ERA. He threw two no-hitters, a perfect game and ranks second on the career strikeout list. The 6-foot-10 Johnson finishes with a career record of 303-166 and 4,875 strikeouts in 4,135 1/3 innings. Had a hell of a career.

January 6, 201016 yr Fantastic career and quite possibly the last ever 300 game winner. That is probably the truth. I don't know if any pitcher can average 15-20 wins in a 15-20 year career anymore.
