March 5, 201016 yr Julius Peppers signed a 6 year deal with the Bears. I'm just glad he didnt end up in New England.
March 5, 201016 yr Yeah, that would be crazy, but I'm not sure he's worth the price for a team already short on draft picks. Of course, if it was our 1st-rounder from this year (we don't have a 3rd, so I don't know how that would work), then that's not too bad. I think they can probably draft a WR in the 1st or 2nd round, and the class is apparently deep enough that they could find a quality slot receiver there. Braylon Edwards, Jericcho Cotchery, Golden Tate, and Dustin Keller; that would be tough to cover. But we need to find a way to get more pressure on the QB. That is huge. Gholston's bust status (so far) has killed us. We'd be a much more complete team if he had lived up to his potential. But I'm sure every team can say that about a player or two, so oh well.
March 5, 201016 yr Author Bears get their man. adding peppers and urlacher returning makes the d legit. hopefully they come across a steal in the 3rd round and get a safety. tommie harris is a big key. excited for next season.

Its just a first rounder for Marshall, no 3rd required. I dont know what dlineman are our there. The Jets would be better off signing a slot receiver (not sure who is out there) and draft dlineman with their first two picks.
March 6, 201016 yr http://www.kffl.com/gnews.php?id=631052 YES! Came away with the second biggest FA in this market! Going from Ayodele to Dansby is huge!
March 6, 201016 yr 5 years 43 million with 22 million guaranteed, highest paid ILB in the league! Nice pick up. Where are the people who complained about Calvin Pace getting 18 million guaranteed now?
March 6, 201016 yr Karlos Dansby is a Miami Dolphin, man that is so awesome to say However, we still need to replace Gibril at FS, and Rolle is off the market. We gotta try and lure Darren Sharper away, but that probably won't happen. Ryan Clark seems like our best target that is the most realistic.
March 6, 201016 yr Author im hoping the bears make a play for clark. they're throwing money around like a drunken sailor... might as well go all out. lord knows we need a safety.
March 6, 201016 yr Any other rumors going round? We need a safety for sure but we also need a WR... Im 50-50 about giving our pick away for Marshall as it is unclear whether or not he would play well with Henne...
March 6, 201016 yr I've heard Sharper's name, Otogwe's name and Clark's name linked to Miami. If we sign one of them, we will be the most improved team in the AFC east without a doubt. Also, we re-signed Chad Pennington, but wouldn't give him a no trade clause. Something is happening.

March 6, 201016 yr Brandon Marshall isn't going to be a Miami Dolphin, that much is certain. His character is something Parcells and company don't want on this team, and I remember a source saying that he heard somebody within the Miami organization say they don't want to deal "with somebody elses problem". We want to keep that #12 pick. I mean, I'd want to keep it with guys like Earl Thomas, Dez Bryant, Brandon Graham, and Rolando McClain most likely going to be on the board. If we can't get Bryant, my 2nd player that I would want would be Brandon Graham. I've changed my mind on McClain, simply because I'd rather not move Dansby to OLB. Graham is an absolute monster. He really was held back because of how bad the rest of the defense was around him. He proved just how good he was at the Senior Bowl. Graham probably has the biggest motor out of anybody in this draft, and he stepped up as the season went along. But again, I want Dez Bryant. I'm praying the Browns and Broncos pass on him (doubtful), but if we can get him, we finally have ourselves a #1 WR. As for free agency, if I could choose any safety, I'd want Atogwe. He is probably the most underrated safety in the entire league. However, like I said, Ryan Clark is very good in his own right, and I wouldn't be upset at all if Clark was a Dolphin. I'd like to give props to Stephen Ross, I'm so happy we have an owner who is has such a drive to win that he will pay a bit of money to help improve this team.
March 6, 201016 yr Marshall's atitude is really unknown to us. At one point it was definitely bad, but obviously he tried to repair his image afterwards. We need a wide reciever, and I'd rather not use our pick to get one. I agree that Marshall is a bit of an overpayment, but that doesnt mean that we cant look elsewhere.
March 6, 201016 yr I wouldn't be mad if we sign Antonio Bryant and pick up a receiver in next years draft. It's going to be loaded next year with Baldwin, Floyd, Jones, and Green. I like Clark more than Atogwe. Atogwe, from what I've read, takes risks and blows assignments. Clark is more disciplined and is a better all around player. But I wouldn't be mad if we signed Atogwe.

There's a long offseason yet to go, including the draft. And even with one of those guys, you're still worse than the Jets on paper on both sides of the ball.

And if they had to choose between Marshall and Bryant by their talent alone, they would take Marshall without a doubt.

And if they had to choose between Marshall and Bryant by their talent alone, they would take Marshall without a doubt. Dez Bryant's "character issues" are that he is lazy. Brandon Marshall's is that he is a cancer inside the clubhouse. Big difference, as Bryant hasn't had any rifts with any teammates or coaches he's every had or been with. Like I've said before, Dez Bryant's "character issues" are about as much BS as Vontae Davis' "character issues". Immaturity shouldn't be a reason not to draft a #1 WR.

I didn't say we were better than you on with those two guys, I said we would be the most improved. But now that you say it, it will make us better than you. You're secondary is hurting. Only threat is Revis. The other corners, especially Cromartie, will be attacked. You're front of 7 is dominant, though. I will give you that. On offense, I think we top the Jets. Better running game and better QB. The QB position is debateable, though.
