March 31, 201016 yr Homerific picks guys.... Everyone taking Hanley to win mvp, come on. Not taking anything against him, hes a great player, but he will not even be in the top 5 in mvp voting... Mark it down... And the beating out some of the teams you guys have missing the playoffs for the wildcard is laughable, but I will issue a pass on those homerific picks because this is a marlinsbaseball forum. Notice I didn't pick the cubs to make the playoffs, I would love for them to, but I am realstic enough to know they won't.

Notice I didn't pick the cubs to make the playoffs, I would love for them to, but I am realstic enough to know they won't. Why? Hanley was 2nd in 2009 Seriously, that was a really (and I mean this in the nicest way) dumb post. 1) Hanley was 2nd in MVP voting last year, as my Co-User of the year just stated. 2) The Marlins only missed the playoffs by 5 games last year. Obviously we're taking into account if everything goes as planned (Volstad pitches in between of his '08 and '09 stats, Gaby hits his projected line, JJ and Ricky stay their awesome selves, the bullpen guys from last year don't regress). How you think winning 5 more games would be laughable for this team I don't know. If the Marlins make the playoffs I don't see why Hanley can't get MVP. I know why he MIGHT not, but I don't see why he can't. And to say he won't be in top 5 is really silly.
