Marlins lose a free agent....

Featured Replies

According to USAtoday.com, the Texas Rangers have signed Marlins free-agent IF Andy Fox to a minor-league contract with an invite to spring training.

No loss... Most people here in AZ were glad to see him go... Especially since Danny Bautista turned it up a notch after he got here.

Andy did a fine job, but we needed to save money at the least important roster spots (bench) Good luck!

A decent bench player, I would rather have Mordy too. I think it was just that Fox was too expensive.

Thanks for the memories, Foxy.

Geez, he was a slap hitting bench player. A likable guy, but come on!! A lot of the local fans seem to be a little too resistant to changes. It probably has to do with the way this team has been mishandled in the past. But let's get a grip, people are going to come and go.

too expensive? rangers got him for less than league minimun because he got a minor league contract. how expensive is that?

I was assuming of course that he WOULDN'T be re-signed to a minor-league contract.

why couldnt we sign him to minorleague contract/ invite ST

Why don't you ask your dad? :D

Anyways good luck Andy you jokester :w00t
