I worry that we'll be subjected to a long stretch of Bonifacio just because they'd find it convenient to have him lead off. I'd actually rather see Maybin called up to play left and lead off if its gonna be a DL stint.

I find it extremely silly that even minor league players are rehabbing at lower levels. It is entirely impractical, especially when situations like this arise. I was only hoping Maybin because I've always felt like he'd have more success batting lead off, where he can swing away without much care for situational hitting, than anywhere else, at least until he gets it. It worked for Hanley Ramirez and it worked for him in 2008.
