The second half still needs to be filmed. They did the same thing last year.

I know it's lagged behind and I knew there was a part 1 and part 2 to the season, I just thought that it was more like a month and a half in between seasons, not two to three months.

And of course they take the only month I'm on break to guarantee that there's on Walking Dead!

I know, between my balls and The Walking Dead going away in two weeks I don't know what to do anymore.

Great episode. Got to see Michonne be a badass some more.

Great episdoe, but I totally saw a lot of that shit coming. I am REALLY looking forward to next week's half-season finale.

 

Some notes about the episode...

• OF COURSE Andrea would bone the Gov'na... She seems to be a magnet for the asshole types. Shane, The Gov'na, Michonne?
  
• Love where they are taking Rick. He is totally losing his mind. looking forward to see what happens with him and the governor.
  
• Michonne is a total badass. Didnt like her mean muggin the camera the first few episodes, but she rocks.
  
• Merle is becoming one of my favorite characters. Michael Rooker is a fantastic actor, and Merle is one of the most complex characters on the show.
  

 

Another funny thing. These guys kill zombies with headshots from 100 yards away while running backwards, and Glenn couldn't shoot Merle from 5 feet away to save Maggie? Im surprised Carl didnt headshot Merle from the prison watch tower with his handgun.

You mean when Merle was holding Maggie at gunpoint? It's an entirely different scenario when a hostage is involved, especially in Glenn's case.

Im just making fun of their amazing accuracy while running and shooting at walkers. I know its totally different when there is a hostage involved, and especially so when its your S/O. I still think Carl could have taken her out.

Indeed they are sharpshooters like no other. Many people don't realize that shooting a gun accurately in a stand-still position isn't even that easy. Add a moving target and a moving position? I'd say more than two thirds of your shot are going to miss your target for an inexperienced shooter, and less than a quarter will make it into the head.

So uh..

I thought she did explain to the scientist that they're not the same person once they turn. Science man was just stubborn.

That was another great set-up episode. Next week should be amazing.

 

Couple of notes:

 

Glenn is a badass. I thought they'd break him for sure. He didnt. They throw in a walker while he is tied to a chair. He dispenses of said walker.

Maggie is HOT! That was an intense scene. Shows just how crazy the gov'na is. It will be interesting how things develop between him and Rick.

I think what Dale was talking about is happening. Theyre slowly losing their humanity. While the old man in the cabin was a wack-o, and would have gotten someone hurt, they way they killed and sacrificed him showed this. They looked down on Shane for sacrificing poor ol Otis, but this was somewhat similar.

Andrea is in for a big suprise when she see's who her man really is, crazy walker daughter and all.

Right. guy was wacko. But Shane did what he had to do to survive as well. albeit in a much more cold-blooded way. In both instances, they had to make decisions for survival. Still doesn't change the fact that a human died so that others could survive.

Wait. That old guy in the woods. Didn't he say he was going to call the police? LOL. Where has he been? They have him a chance, even though it was a short one, but they did what they had to do. Survival.

 

 

Cabin fever man. It's not that he'd never seen a zombie until then... he was insane. His dog was sleeping dead next to him and apparently had been dead for some time. He was a lunatic.

 

As far as this episode goes, I doubt anyone from Woodbury is being absorbed. In fact, I doubt a Rick vs. Governor fight even exists. It's my understanding that the Governor is going to be around for all of season 3.. so I'd put my money on the idea that they all get captured. And maybe Oscar dies.

 

Maybe it's the end of the line for Merle though. Let's go... Merle kills Oscar, Daryl fights Merle, but doesn't kill him. Instead, he lets him be eaten. Yeah, that sounds good.
