I think he was joking. Not only do I doubt the final designs have been decided on yet, but red/yellow would be a total contrast to the blue seats in the new ballpark (although there are the designated coloured sections). Also, I'm sure he would be heavily punished if he revealed the actual designs on Twitter as they have big conferences in front of the media for such events.

 

I don't think he or any other players or coaches even know anything about the new designs.

I definitely think the orange would make the unis too busy, but the creole blue is definitely nice. I took one of the concept Miami Marlins uni art examples that have been going around and changed the colors and they would be nice:

I love the blue! Buuut you gotta believe its way too close to the Rays for some people. And being in the same state, we've gotta differentiate ourselves from them. obviously

Why would anyone want orange?

The ownership seemed to be pushing it, my only hope is that they were pushing it to keep some sort of continuity with the orange in jrs. My hope is that once we are outta there the orange will go away.

I wouldn't mind that. It's not that I love the orange, it's just that it seems inevitable. They push it more and more every year and now that Loria gets the chance to makeover the whole club I've gotta imagine it's going to be there somewhere (if not everywhere)

Yeah, you've got a point. He definitely had a chance when they put in those colored tile sections, but they ended up with Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow.

 

Outside the OB letters, I don't think they have shown any other orange. Maybe that's a good sign?
