Entendu
I guess that makes sense
Dr Beinfest
Short OF now.
floridafly
I kinda wanted Thurston or Salazar, but Ozzie is solid too. Probably means Boni is going to start in LF instead of Cousins (though that was probably expected)
EricWiener
Ozzie can play OF

floridafly
Ozzie can play OF Yet he hasn't since 2007... where he played one game in LF. Or perhaps you are referring to 2006, where he played 6 games in right. Ozzie is strictly an infielder (but a versatile on at that being able to play 2nd, 3rd, and SS) And I honestly haven't been keeping track with Ozzie so far this year, but his performance has been HORRENDOUS. .190/.217/.259 (totally a grand .475 OPS). SilverBullet
Good by me. I dont see how we have a short OF if Boni is essentially gonna be exclusively an outfielder during LoMo's time out.

Perhaps I am talking about capability of a fast player with a strong arm being able to fill in at a corner OF when somebody needs a day off or in a double switch? Stanton Coghlan Bonifacio Cousins Considering neither Bonifacio nor Cousins are exactly starters, and Stanton's been slumping/battling injury. I guess it's not short in terms that we do have a bench outfielder, but it's crippled. I'd rather have had Bonifacio as an all around utility player and an extra OF. MarlinsLou
I kinda wanted Thurston or Salazar, but Ozzie is solid too. Probably means Boni is going to start in LF instead of Cousins (though that was probably expected) Not on 40 man. Sure we could bump a pitcher, but those guys have no more "upside" than Martinez or Petersen. This was the right move. Keep the team flexible because we're going to have a mix and match 3B/LF situation for a month now.
Hammerhead
Thurston would've made the most sense but whatever.

Probably means Boni is going to start in LF instead of Cousins (though that was probably expected) Maybe, maybe not. Edwin does want some speed at 3B for this series because of the way the Rox play. And he prefers to have Dobbs and Helms off the bench. So I would think either Ozzie or Boni at 3B (probably Boni) with Cousins starting in LF. Then in late inning defensive moves bringing in Helms or Dobbs and moving Boni to RF (If Boni starts at 3B.) Calling up Ozzie just gives the team good flexability.
