6/9 Post Game

Another quality pitching performance wasted too bad with the bad luck infield hits. Happens to him a lot. The offense just couldnt bail him out like they did Anibal and Ricky.

to come back off the ledge for a second... as I'm cleaning up all the things I broke in the house during this game....

It's more frustrating to lose all these 1-run games than to get blown out because you know they were all winnable games. I mean if our rotation had completely fallen apart we'd have to consider if we had enough pitching or not.

But the rotation has generally done well. The bullpen has still been good. We're not hitting certainly but that has to turn around soon. I'm not trying to paint a pretty picture of what's going on, but I do see signs that the team can still be right in the thick of it this season. Hanley & JJ hopefully back soon, just need to break the streak and string a few wins together.

Just need to break this streak and get a winning one going. Run off 4 in a row and things will look just fine again.

Next year we will make the playoffs, trust me it will happen.

and i also knew leo was hurt.

you could see how much time he took before he struck out the last batter in that inning against the brewers.

i thought he was hurt but then thought nothing of it once he threw 96 on the corner.

It's not even mid June. To call a team out of the race when they are over .500 in mid June is just knee jerk. This isn't football season, this is a marathon, not a race.

yes i do not think we are out of it but we need a nice little streak to forget about it and move on.

a couple of base hits here and there and we are maybe 3-5 instead of 0-8.

I think I may hate sports right now.

Screw this, I'm gonna take up cooking.

Hanley prepping for his return

Wasn't a very hard guess a few days back when I said he should make the long trip to Jupiter and "rehab" for a couple games. Now it looks like he has packed up his passport and headed north. It should do him some good. Certainly can't hurt.

JJ's injury sucks, but because pitching has pretty much kept us in every game it hasn't affected us as much as Hanley's injury and his nonproduction this year. The only thing JJ can do to improve what has been happening is to pitch complete game shutouts and no-nos every time he goes out there. Don't see that happening. Hanley coming back with some confidence and swinging the bat anywhere near 2009 would be a big pick up to the team.

loll, the METS are only a game and a half behind us.

We're about to be 4th place in the division.

Now don't be a worry wart. We are going on a 9 game winning streak starting tonight !
